Jesus Christ. And I thought the Castro quotes were bad.

Absolutely ****ing not. Amazing how great women of color like Pressley, Solis, and Sewell don't get consideration but this clown becomes a rising star.

As others have stated, this seems bit like they're propping up people who would be less popular than Harris, so that when Harris is picked, it is an easier pill for her detractors to swallow.

I still prefer Bass to Duckworth, Harris & Rice even with the scientology stuff. Warren would probably be even better but it doesn't seem like she's under serious consideration.

Ok, I’m 99.5% sure Harris has this.

- The Scientology story will sink Bass
- Warren hasn’t been seriously considered (or mentioned) for weeks
- Biden is too cautious to let Benghazi back into the picture by choosing Rice
- Demings has too short a resume and a history of police work that isn’t appealing to Team Biden in 2020

Kamala the Cop vs. A Divisive Progressive vs. A Scientology Apologist vs. A Literal Cop Who Let Her Department Use Force Against Minorities In A Disproportionate Rate.

Tammy Duckworth is the most sane, safest pick for VP.

But it won't be her, so congrats, KHive.

Can't wait for  AOC to curbstomp VP Harris in a primary.

To act as if Tammy is completely spotless while *everyone* else has major flaws is wishful thinking.

I don’t think Demings is a bad pick but yeah, Duckworth looks the safest now. I venture to say her spots are less severe than Bass’. And if Duckworth vet fails, Biden needs to ditch the identity left and just pick whitmer.

You have no way of knowing if Warren is being seriously considered by team Biden or not.  Public attention means nothing in terms of their internal process.

If you think AOC would "curbstomp" Harris in a head-to-head primary, I urge you to get out of your bubble. AOC is waaaaaay to far left to appeal outside of her district.

Changing demographics and a shifting party are going to lead to, at the least, one viable contender to face off against Harris in '24; if not win.

I just have the personal confidence (and want) for AOC or some other (actually progressive Democrat) candidate to stop her from hijacking the party for the next decade; damning it to establishment, status-quo, corporate politics.

Kamala's like a Dick Cheney, sans the health issues.

I won't dignify the lies you've said about Kamala's character or politics, but I'll adress the first part of your statement.

Four years simply isn't long enough for that kind of a massive shift in the primary. The earliest that an AOC-type candidate could win a primary is 2036/2040.

The KHive has fully embraced that it's openly a plan to take over the WH and Party after Biden's Presidency. Just ask some supporters of her here or especially on Twitter.

Also, I do love the irony of the KHive taking down another African-American female candidate, while at the same time claiming that any attacks against Kamala for her policies or past are racist and sexist attacks, lmao.

Democratic Party remains a joke for another 4 years, win or loss. Never addressing the true needs of Americans and keeping in place the status-quo procedures while another talking head hijacks the Party. Sad.

I'm still a fan of Joe tho, but only because I dislike Trump so much.

In theory, yes. But the steady stream of leaks, denials etc, tell a story.

Also, the fact that the progressive wing moved on from Warren to start advocating Bass suggests that Bass has a greater chance of being selected.

In addition, vetting is never an entirely private process (there’s a huge volume of documentation involved), and it just doesn’t seem logical that they could keep vetting Warren without generating the buzz surrounding Harris and Bass.

At this rate, if there was something major with Harris in her past, you would think it would've come out by now. But they're only qualms are "ambition" and "Loyalty" so apparently not.

Ok, with that hot take, this thread has jumped the shark.

“Kamala Harris is Dick Cheney” - give me a finksing break.

Wait did the Sanders supporters really believe that if Biden picks someone that doesn't run in 2024 was really going to lock up the primary for the left? Lol, with the conversion to the primary and the strategic distribution of pragmatic voting blocks like Labor Dems, Black Americans, and Metropolitan Liberal Elites they will always get who they want out the primary until further notice.

BTW, where the hell has Rendell met Harris and has such a strong impression about her character?
As far as I know he's been a private citizen in Pennsylvania ten years now.
