Are we allowed to use other players characters past (Pre - Dec. 2003 obviously) against them?

Im not the GM, but in any other game the answer is yes. I know what you're asking this because 4 of your primary opponents voted in favor of the war.

Also, are we allowed to just post an unlimited amount of ads / speeches, are they capped, or what's the system on that? I'm pretty new to these games. Thanks.

As much as you want, but keep it realistic. Don't have your candidate making 35 speeches a week.

Yes, you can.

And I mean, Fred Phelps isn't really going to be allowed on stage, right?

We're just gonna imagine he's outside the building with a megaphone?

Unless he's polling at like 0%, yeah he's going to be onstage.

I do think for the most part we should either ignore him, or try to knock him out early.

Well yes, IRL he'd be polling at -100% in a Democratic primary, lmbo.

About Tom Harkin, Democrats, I have gotten 3 requests for him so far. Should I leave him as a non endorser or keep it with the first person who asked for him?

I think there needs to be a better system than 'I called him first!' personally, or each candidate needs to have a certain limit to how many people they can ask for.

Something like,

2 Major National Organizations

2 Major Newspapers (from both IA and NH)

3 Major Political Figures

Excluding certain obvious choices (such as Bill Clinton for Hillary) whom might count as a free endorsement. And players should have to explain /why/ they're a good choice for that endorsement. Not in great detail, just a brief summary...

Just ideas.

Depends who's asking.

Other than Hillary, I think Gore would be the most obvious candidate for Harkin to back.

To nerd73. I appreciate you staying in character as Phelps...but even he has more discipline than to start spewing out profanities in front of other candidates at debates.

Keep that in mind next time.

Yeah, I think it should be toned down. There is NO WAY the Democrats would ever allow that on their debate stage, and he'd also be fined by the FCC into oblivion for it.

I'd stay with First come First Serve, and then change it later on if need be.

I'm just going to presume by that, that Kerry got Harkin's endorsement. Am I right?

I don't see any candidate that has a good uncontested base of support.

Let's be real here. Hillary's got more name recognition coming in than any non-Gore candidate, so she should be a top contender at a minimum, barring something going horribly wrong. And if Gore drops out, I'd argue she's the favorite.

Well the fun part about these is that they allow us to change history, and pride comes before a fall.  Kiki

She has at least some semblance of a voting record, and quite frankly, with her high name ID, if Gore drops out/bombs (which looks unlikely, admittedly) she could emerge with nomination relatively easily.

She also could finish in last in Iowa/New Hampshire as well.

Honestly If I preform poorly in Iowa. That could be a major problem.
