The US is certainly going to try to acquire at least one of those T-90s for testing/intelligence:

Edit: Then again T-90s are 30 years old. Maybe the US won't want them and Ukraine can use them to replace their ancient T-64s.

Extremely good thread analyzing the Russian effort so far:

I agree 100% with this and this is why I do believe Ukraine will fall.
Me as well.
The logic in that twitter thread is why I feel Ukraine east of the Dnieper and Kyiv may (likely?) fall. But right bank Ukraine? Putin would need an army of at least 400,000 to successfully occupy the whole country. Not to mention the difficulty of getting over the Carpathians to Zakarpattia Oblast in order to complete the job and snuff out a "rump state" government from surviving there.

I don't blame Bulgaria for not sending their MiG-29s. It is several years off from receiving its replacement F-16s. I believe their claim if they gave their planes to Ukraine, there wouldn't be enough aircraft and parts left to defend Bulgaria.

This sort of policy is far from new for Brazil. The Brazilian military government maintained extensive relations with the Non-Aligned Movement.
Indeed, Brazil's neutrality on the war is like India's. There's a long history of being neutral in West/NATO - Soviet/Russian conflicts. This isn't a case of Brazil changing its position and "siding" with Russia. They are actually staying neutral and aren't blaming NATO for "provoking" Russia like China, Venezuela, Cuba, etc. As a result, I'm not upset by Brazil's position, but some of Bolsonaro's comments were frustrating like: "adding that in two southern regions of Ukraine, some 90% of the population wanted to "approximate themselves to Russia.""

Kharkiv Kupyansk has surrendered per Washington Post:

"Northeastern Ukrainian city surrenders under threat of bombardment, mayor says

By Isabelle Khurshudyan3:02 p.m.

KHARKIV, Ukraine — At 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the commander of the Russian battalion offered the mayor of the northeastern Ukrainian town an ultimatum: Surrender or face a bombardment.

In a video message posted on the Kupyansk City Council’s Facebook page, Mayor Gennady Matsegora said he chose to surrender and that the town is now under Russian control.

Kupyansk, which has a population of about 28,000, is about 70 miles southeast of Kharkiv, where a Russian advance on the city was rebuffed Sunday afternoon, according to the governor.

Matsegora said the Russians assured him that schools, hospitals and grocery stores would be open Monday. He claimed that Ukrainian military agencies had left the town to fend for itself.

“We must come together and get back to normal life,” Matsegora said in the video. “You can come out of the basements and the bunkers.

Poor man just doing what he has to do in order to protect his citizens. Gun to the head scenario.

Hope those like him do not get labeled "traitors" or "collaborators".

Someone somewhere mentioned that Putin intended his blitzkrieg invasion of Ukraine as the 21st century version of the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis that would be to the United States what the original was to Britain and France.  Clearly his gambit has backfired big time, revealing it is Russia -and not the United States- that can no longer be regarded as a true global superpower.

Unless of course you consider the nuclear weapons stockpile it inherited from the Soviet Union, but then again so do Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel...and they can hardly be considered 'superpowers' in any real sense of the term.

After the collapse of the USSR, Russia lost it's superpower status. Russia is still a great power similar to Japan, Germany, France and the UK.

You could make the argument that Russia is a regional power (Turkey, Italy, Brazil, Nigeria) that just happens to have nuclear weapons.

Interesting analysis, it does make sense that it doesn't matter how many tanks, trucks, and men Russia throws at Ukraine as long as their supply, logistics, strategy, morale, and communication problems continue to be this bad:

Unlike the Russians, Ukraine is having "good" problems to deal with. AK-47s are the most produced military rifle in history, right? You'd think it shouldn't be too difficult to get some surplus ones from friendly ex-Warsaw Pact nations.

Wow, a Russian Il-76 is currently violating the Polish ban on Russian planes flying in its airspace. I'm tracking it now (the internet is amazing). Maybe it's purpose is to challenge NATO's authority?

It looks like a passenger flight to Slovakia that somehow slipped through.

It seems so, people in the comments section shared sources that showed the flight as cancelled, but I guess not. It just entered Slovakian airspace.

If the city has already been pacified, I'd understand not using armor when deploying infantry. But, I've not heard any reports of Kherson having already fallen. I guess we'll be seeing how this urban assault goes for the Russians soon enough.

I found the building on google maps. It's the Kharkiv Regional State Administration building.

I'm not sure what's going on here. Is that a Russian column getting BTFO in Kharkiv, Russian artillery hitting Kharkiv, or both?

A Russian missile hitting downtown Kharkiv.

Views of the aftermath. The cars in the center of the surveillance video of the strike are unrecognizable as vehicle.
