Is is shocking so many liberals/Dems support this, especially on this forum? They are becoming the morally uptight, scolding paternalist party. They cheer on banning menthal cigarettes, and vapes. They view porn and prostitution through the lens that it harms women (where a definition can finally be used) so it should be banned. They support taxes and limitations on sodas and meat. And of course, they took the most authoritarian approach to covid possible. This Democratic Party is antithetical socially to the left-wing hippies of the 70's.

They are becoming the anti-libertarian party in nearly every way. It's only going to take a few more years until they flip on their historical positions such as marijuana/drugs and this before the transformation is complete, along with their increasingly hawkish foreign policy.

All of the good songs in terms of melody are designated as for women. If you're a man and you listen to music for the melody, then you're out of luck. You have the choice between Bland uncatchy classic rock with 5-10 minute monotonous and droning guitar solos. PA: While this race is much likelier than not to stay Dem this cycle, I think the margin will be much closer than the polls suggest and will underestimate Mastriano (who has a Trumpier coalition) more than Oz. I think after the election, we'll sit here wondering why we ever believed Shapiro was going to win by double digits in a perennial swing state in a poor national environment for Democrats. Seriously folks, when fundamentals and polling collide, skew towards fundamentals.

I'm going to break my silence here since this forum needs the opposite viewpoint on this issue to the American echo chamber. Whether this balloon is a weather balloon or a surveillance balloon doesn't really matter since its flight over the US is what matters and that is no accident. This is a glorious result and I 100% support this move as it is a worthy, proportionate, and measured retaliation against the endless American provocations and insults against China. Even better that it forced Blinken to cancel his trip, putting the blame on him and making him look like a petulant child in the eyes of the world. Bonus points for flying above the continental US for 2 days, using a large white balloon clearly visible on the ground, causing viral Tweets about balloon sightings, and humiliating the administration as a result.

Do the first 23 years of my life count? I grew up in a family that didn't drink for religious reasons. My Grandma would literally draw a line on her wine to see if anyone had drank it with big 'FOR COOKING ONLY' lettering.

I haven't drank for the last couple months either and honestly don't miss it. Besides a brunch with some friends a few weeks ago, but no more drinking at home or alone for me.
