I wonder if a lot of upper middle class white college donors (includes many Jewish ones) have soured on Dems in recent months and the new flare up of protests reflects decreasing interest in the party.
I suspect it both, a combination of what you said and also progressive donors souring on biden due to his support for israel.

Leftists still think every Trump voter is a white nationalist. Every Biden 20-Trump 24 voter I know is pro-choice and just isn’t interested in seeing a reprise of the old Russian empire pogroms with the implicit approval of the Democratic Party through the academic left.

Brainwashed, like most extreme Evangelicals. His behavior was HP-like but I'd say the real HPs were the leaders of the cult that sent him there knowing full well it put his life in danger and was in contravention of Indian law.

What do you think, will the defense ask for misdemeanors to be included?

Jury instructions were finalized last Thurs. & they didn't:

Can they still change their minds?
I believe they can.

US pier constructed off Gaza has broken apart

Quote
The temporary pier constructed by the US military to transport aid into Gaza broke apart and sustained damage in heavy seas on Tuesday in a major blow to the American-led effort to create a maritime corridor for humanitarian supplies into the war-torn enclave, the Pentagon said.

The pier was “damaged and sections of the pier need rebuilding and repairing,” Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh said on Tuesday. The pier will be removed from its location on the Gaza coast over the next 48 hours and taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where US Central Command will carry out repairs, Singh said. The repairs will take more than a week, further delaying the effort to get the maritime corridor fully operating.

Earlier, four US officials told CNN the pier broke apart in heavy seas.

Part of the pier, which consists of a narrow causeway to drive aid into Gaza and a wider parking area to drop off supplies transported by ship, disconnected on Sunday, the officials said. The parking area will have to be reconnected to the causeway before the pier can be used again.

So Biden Entire pier operation have been utter failure with it sinking in less than 2 weeks and wasted half a billion dollars?
What effect will this have on his reelection campaign

I doubt any.

4) How will you navigate a Democratic Party that will likely blame you heavily for Trump's win and won't consider you a good faith partner in shared objectives?

If Trump wins, it will likely be somewhat close, so one could plausibly point to any out of many factors for why he would have won.

The first is whether or not the US is unique in having something of a gerontocracy. If so, why?

This is an interesting question that I really wanted to address. Pew did an article on this, and it seems America may not be unique, but it is unusual. Biden is in the top 5% of world leaders in age, and countries that are considered freer usually have younger leaders than those that are less free. I'm not familiar with the Cameroonian government, but I suspect Paul Biya is not surrounded by other 91-year olds either.

As for why, President Johnson raises an interesting point earlier in this thread about Gen Xers not being able to beat these people, and with Ramaswamy I would add Millennials at this point too. There have been younger candidates, but they don't beat the elders. Some of these elderly leaders like McConnell and Pelosi are protected by heavily skewed constituencies that allow their party to protect them. But it is quite striking that Trump and Biden were able to easily weather age-based concerns and I think that points to a legitimate issue with candidate quality among Gen X and Millennial politicians. Why that issue might exist and why it might be worse here than elsewhere, I'm not sure and I would be interested to hear others' thoughts on that.
