Kansas just got jobbed by the refs.  The runner's forward progress was clearly stopped on that 4th down play.
Thank you. As a Kansas fan, it was great to see us play so competitive at home, and just being in it until the end is a success and step forward for the program. We have a decent QB and I believe in our new coach. This call was especially disappointing, though, along with the missed holding call in the 3rd quarter that allowed for their 60+ yard run. Unfortunately we had to play a near perfect game to win and just couldn't quite pull it off.

Since I'm watching zero football these days
Not like you're missing much this week — the early slate in particular is one of the worst I can remember. I might end up watching Northwestern football.

Keep an eye on Oklahoma-Kansas.
Not watching poors, sorry. Harvard-Princeton is on

I feel so confident about taking the outright conference title this year after Dartmouth laid an egg last night. But this happens every year...I'm sure we will inexplicably drop the Yale game at home and finish in a 3 way tie or something bizarre. Still better than I expected against the Crimson so far.

Devastating. Overtime rules need to change back to the old way. But we blew multiple chances to win a game it felt we controlled the whole way. Hard to see a way back except to a "co-championship"

Edit: WHAT HAPPENED. I shut it off in disgust only to see it move to a 4th OT! It looked like a clean catch!

Harvard thought they won but they went to review (!) to determine that Princeton called timeout — and in 5OT Harvard thought they'd tied it but they apparently called timeout and sabotaged their own play.

Princeton converts in the 5th overtime with a spectacular catch by the shortest receiver on the field getting some air, and Harvard matched them on a wide open pass to Adam West, only to nullify it with their own timeout. They can't do it again! Princeton wins the football game! Princeton wins this sick twisted tiebreaker that has no place in a football game! Princeton is going to win the Ivy League! What a roller coaster!!

End of the third quarter, and Iowa State leads #8 Oklahoma State 17-14.

As an Illini fan, that upset win over PSU in 9OTs will go down as one of the all-time classics.

East Carolina @ Houston, which was scheduled to kick off at 4pm EDT, still hasn't started due to thunderstorms in Houston.

UCLA, which trailed Oregon 34-17 early in the fourth quarter, has closed it to 34-31 with over six minutes left.

First off, the ranks of the unbeaten have shrunk by one, as Iowa State defeats #8 Oklahoma State 24-21.

Meanwhile, we've got an upset in progress, in Birmingham, as 24 point underdogs Rice, lead UAB 30-24 with just over two minutes to play.

With the early games finished (except for the delayed ECU-Houston, which doesn't really matter because everyone picked Houston) it's a wide open race this week.  Three people are 12-5 so far and three more are 11-6.

Weber State keeps their season alive with a huge 35-34 win on the red turf of 7-0 Eastern Washington. Extremely soft schedule to close the year should get them back into the postseason once again.

#2 EWU's undefeated season is obliterated by a missed game-tying PAT.

Maybe San Diego State is for real?  They lead 20-0 at Air Force at the end of three quarters.

Despite not all games having been played this week, I'm going to try to predict the playoffs and other New Years's Six bowls again as of this week's games.

Peach Bowl: Wake Forest vs San Diego State

Fiesta Bowl: Michigan State vs Notre Dame

Rose: Michigan vs Oregon

Sugar: Oklahoma State vs Kentucky

Cotton: #4 Cincinnati vs #1 Oklahoma
Orange: #3 Georgia vs #2 Alabama

The taunting rule is revolting and should be shot into the sun.

At least Iowa State still won, unlike a certain green NFL team last week!

Who was more overrated pre-season? Indiana? Clemson? Fake Miami?

The national media expectation, the expectation for us to be a top-10 team, were wrong. So I guess we should all be critical of the media for picking us that high.

Probably Clemson, given I'm pretty sure everyone had them winning the ACC easily, making the Playoff, and at least some prognosticators had them winning the National Championship.

I don't think anyone had Indiana doing any better than maybe the Citrus Bowl if everything went right for them, and Miami (FL) was predicted to make the ACC Championship game at best, but beating Clemson wasn't going to happen, and they would likely have ended up in the Outback Bowl or the Gator Bowl, or possibly the Fiesta/Peach bowl if their only losses were to Clemson and Alabama.

Ohio State, if they continue to play as they have been lately, may very well steamroll across Penn State, Michigan, and Michigan State, and into the playoff. However, if you have, say, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Cincy (putting all overrated discussions aside) undefeated at 13-0 each, with the final spot between Oregon, Ohio State, and the ACC Champion (Pitt with 1 loss? Or an undefeated Wake Forest...) I wonder who would get that final spot, especially since Oregon has a head to head win over Ohio State.

Ohio State, because they're Ohio State and are better than Oregon and whatever garbage champ comes out of the ACC. Actually, if that happens, Cincy gets left out and their fans riot and the school claims a championship anyway.

But I still think Penn State will give Ohio State a fight.
