Ashli Babbitt is one of the worst Americans to ever live. If she'd gotten her way, our 250 years of democracy would have come to an end, with a presidential election wrongfully overturned in a coup, likely at the expense of dozens of Congressmen's lives.

This is good news, and hopefully if we have a Democratic President beyond 2024 this will result in federal charges. Perry is a coldblooded killer and he belongs behind bars, his pardon basically gave free reign in Texas on protesters while Abbott is governor and I appreciate other Democrat AG's not allowing the rule of law to collapse everywhere.

Romney says Biden should've pardoned Trump. There's no reason to take him seriously after that. These people fundamentally do not believe people in power should be held accountable. Romney is still a Romney inside.

The Trump supporters are completely out of touch with how Americans view crime. The guy got convicted of 34 felonies. This wasn't a plea deal, it didn't get deadlocked, he's guilty. He's a criminal. People don't look at convictions and say, "well, this is similar to the impeachment 4 years ago . . ." No. They don't care if it's about hush money. They don't care if it's in New York. They understand guilty and they understand not guilty. That's all they know. This is really bad for Trump, and it's not going away.

Yeah, I'm not saying Biden's gonna get a 10pt shift here, but people are being very delusional about this. Trump is now a convicted felon. Of not just a few counts, but *34* - that is history making and unprecedented, and for people who try and tout "law and order" all the time (and how much of a "strong" message it is), being a convicted felon is NOT something that will help him. It's wild how people are deluding themselves into thinking this won't matter.

Do people really think swing voters are going to be comfortable now with voting for a convicted felon, even if they're upset about gas prices or food prices or whatever?

because using lawfare to go after political opponents over nonsense has long been frowned upon and considered banana republic. we've passed the rubicon on that. A right-wing prosecutor in AR can now indict the clinton's over Whitewater. damn the statute of limitations, New York clearly doesn't care about that. And this ain't the 90s or early 2000s anymore, so I don't think a jury from rural Arkansas is gonna have much mercy on the Clinton's

Very little. I don't think anyone swayed by this but planning to vote for Trump yesterday are suddenly becoming Biden supporters. People that hated Trump yesterday still hate Trump today and were never planning on voting for him to start with.

Once again, some of you need to dig a little deeper and think about this a little more. No one is saying that a huge group of MAGA supporters is about to jump to Biden.

This is more about people on the fence who may have been thinking about sitting out, voting third party, or just maybe voting for Trump b/c they're annoyed by high prices or something. This type of event is the exact thing that could push those people to Biden / or at least officially done with even *considering* Trump. Those margins matter a lot, especially given the amount of soft Biden/Dem support we've seen this cycle.
