It’d be funny that people are triangulating if the results were mixed or if it was some goofy state house race in South Carolina where somebody won a Trump +10 district with 90% of the vote. These are real races and R’s are over-represented in every single state. I’m guessing that’s going to be especially evident in Iowa where D’s are in the process of collapsing. We can joke about it or not, either way there’s going to be negative amounts of democrats left representing Iowa this year

It's only 2% in but Congressman Michael Guest is behind 47%-41%. I expect it to change but I'm keeping my eye on this one.

EDIT: Also Steven Palazzo is well below 50%, he's at 37.6% with Ezell at 28%. Still early, but the ethics charges have him on my radar.

I called Guest's office the day after to thank him for voting for the Jan. 6 committee. Really I just felt bad for the poor woman answering the phone and wanted to give her a break from the abuse.

I didn't go out and vote in the Republican primary today to save him though. It's not really my job to bail out very right-wing and Trumpy Republicans who are facing challenges from ones who are even further right and Trumpier.

I predict he and Palazzo will ultimately come out on top tonight.

None of the Guest vote is in from near Jackson (Rankin, Hinds, and Madison counties) yet. In theory, I'd expect that to be friendlier to him than the present vote. Not only is it suburban and theoretically more moderate on things like January 6, Guest is from Rankin.

Absolutely no surprises in NJ. Chris Smith having a relatively close primary is the closest.

Lol at Donald Payne breaking 80% against his Extremely Online challenger, though.
