Well, he can defend the 90% number by claiming that the rest of Haley primary voters were not Republican and even then, the math does not add up.  And frankly in a tight race, even 10% of primary voters is yooge!

I would view that comment more as a signal and as public negotiations with Haley.  He wants to lower her price for coming to him (not sure whether just for endorsement or as a VP).  I doubt that flea market bargaining strategy will work but we shall see.

Huh?  Try reading my post again - while I mention how Trump would try and defend this statement, I clearly indicate his math does not add up.  And my personal opinion remains that this is more for Haley's ears (which I describe as flea market bargaining, not a brilliant chess move)!

We had the opportunity to buy this stunning condition-super rare bass earlier in the year and thought it was a great long term investment. Probably the rarest and most desired colour of 1960's Fender Instruments, Lake Placid Blue was used sparingly.

mentality on this forum: if Biden leads by 1 its a legit poll, If Trump leads by 1 or 2, its bogus and the sample is questionable.

Given the partisan nature of this poll-or at least how they've tracked Trump-yes, it should be considered in a curve. And many of us are skeptical that Trump could win the popular vote or do as well as he is in certain polls.

Between Elon Musk buying Twitter and universities crushing the protests, conservatives (and libertarians!!!) are really now having the last laugh in the "free speech" debate. You really don't hear "it's a private company, they can do whatever they want" or "freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences" from leftists these days.

Highly unlikely. I don’t see it happening in 2024. As you noted, the gap between these two states in 2020 was 8 points which would require not just a significant R trend in NV but also a large D trend in TX and I simply can’t see the latter happening this year. Keep in mind that TX barely even trended left between 2016 and 2020 when all the demographic conditions and coalition shifts were ripe for Biden to make those gains.

Texas is also a state with low turnout, where Dems seem to have more overall potential with non-voters.

And therein lies their problem, because they barely got the overall statewide margin to budge in 2020 despite heightened enthusiasm levels across the board, not to mention favourable turnout patterns. I don’t expect lightning to strike twice again in that regard this fall.

Both states are quite urban/suburban in nature as well, with most of its population being constrained to its major metro areas.

TX has a larger rural population than most people give it credit for.
