The winner of Pennsylvania has won the presidency from 1972 to 2020 (excluding 2004), the longest such run by any state. Will that streak continue in 2024?

I have been keep track and, once this election ends, intend to offer an update to the following:

https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=556600.msg9122153#msg9122153

*****

Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin current hold the longest streak of having carried for United States presidential election winners. Since 2008, they are at four in a row. They will each carry for the winner, again, here in 2024…moving them to five in a row.

Record for the longest streak is a tie with Nevada and New Mexico. The latter state joined the Union and first voted in 1912. From that year until 1972…they carried every time. 60 years and 16 consecutive election cycles. (Ohio, from 1964 to 2016, ran 52 years and 14 consecutive election cycles. Florida carried the same as Ohio with exception in 1992.)

The five states with the best historic record in having carried for U.S. presidential winners, from 1789 to 2020, are as follows:

01. New Mexico • 92.85%
02. Illinois • 84.31%
03. California • 83.72%
04. New York • 83.62%
05. Pennsylvania • 83.05%

If Election 2024 ends up a Republican pickup for U.S. President—and bellwether Pennsylvania flips and carries while Illinois, California, and New York hold Democratic—the Keystone State will move up to No. 2.

As small as practicable, which is to say probably in the 300-400k range. I'd be open to a 2000 or 3000-member House of Representatives, but it would only make sense under a radical restructuring of the US system of government.

Walmart had pretty good earnings , maybe a shift of middle income consumers to trashier Walmart ?

Walmart said as much on its earnings call that more high earners were shopping at its stores mainly through its Walmart+ delivery.

Yeah that’s what I heard, probably somewhat of a response to that, people do usually go to target instead of Walmart to avoid the mobility scooters and meth addicts so they are normally willing to pay a small premium.

I've noticed that prices at the local Walmart have come down a bit in the last couple months.

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but why exactly would Azerbaijan get involved in Pacific politics?

Because it's mad at France for supporting Armenia.

Making it a scheduled decennial redrawing is obviously a terrible idea, but a constitutional process to split states that reach a certain population level (or at least mandate a referendum on such a split) would be a good idea.

Ah well, I'm sure that strategy will achieve all the success it deserves.

North Carolina has a D counting bias early in the night, if that’s close or Trump takes an early lead that may be a sign that Biden’s goose is cooked.
There are also Counties in your Home State of Florida I am looking at. Biden exceeded his Vote Share south of Tampa like Sarasota, Collier, Lee in 2020. He did well with Seniors in FL in 2020 only losing it to Trump 47-52.
If Biden is bleeding Seniors that could spell trouble for him in PA. FL & PA are among the oldest States in the Nation.

I guess Trump was slipping too much in the aggregates for the media to handle, eh? Watch RealClearPartisans add this one instantly.
