I might be misconstruing this, because I’ve been doing some work with a small business that lives and dies off Meta advertising to 35-65s. But it’s feels like a massive oversight, surely?
Sure, Facebook trends older - but so do voters! Individual Tory candidates are spending thousands on Meta ads. The Lib Dems are running four different ads targeting Scottish voters alone.
As someone who is recieving those targeted ads (and on YouTube) there's a point at which they become spam. I had SLabs constituency based targeted YouTube ad about four or five times in one hour session (giving 'Granny, I got the job' vibes). And the comments on the Facebook ones, where allowed, are a dumpster. While it's clearly a cashflow decision not to run them so far, it is something I'm glad they are not funding.
