Ths Stock Market going up is great for me, and for people who are looking to retire, in that it enhances the solvency of where our retirement dollars come from.  It's not doing much for the working class that need help now with housing costs.

Looking forward to red avatars counting how many black people there are.

Unironically, I think it will be interesting to see how much the crowd actually looks like the city.

Given how dense greater NYC is, choosing the Bronx could moreso be about choosing a centralized location than actually trying to make inroads specifically in the Bronx.

The South Bronx is strategically good location because very accessible by subway to New Yorkers, it's easy enough for New Jerseyites to cross the GW Bridge, and Hudson Valley/upstate supporters can come via car without having to go through Manhattan.

Like NYC is denser than anywhere in the Country so even though Trump loses the city in a blowout, you still have a very high concentration of supporters.

It's a sad day when AOC, who's normally an idiot, properly pointed out that people shouldn't be trashing people for the appearance in Congress.

What if there’s a wildfire?

Knowing the GOP, they'd try to spread it, and then immediately blame someone else for it.

I personally consider this thread to have revealed the latest unfairness of many here.  Not just unfairness in one situation, but the lack of capacity to be fair to persons on the other side of your argument IN REAL LIFE, and not just on this Forum.

As many people your age have told me for years: life isn’t fair, suck it up buttercup and stop being a snowflake.

I've never told you that.  Not once.

Life ISN'T fair, but the degree of fairness people experience is directly proportional to the sense of fairness and justice people in authority over them possess.  This is a case of that.  I've worked in supervisory capacities and whatever people thought of me, people thought I was fair, and the politics of others has never been a concern.

Individuals have the power to impact the Fairness of Life.  It's a choice.  I choose to be fair.  The management of First Avenue has made another choice.

And you know that in 1996 there would be Dole truthers convinced until the bitter end that he’s about to win!
There would be blue avatars saying that there's no way a draft-dodging, weed-smoking, affair-having President who tried to impose a socialist healthcare plan on America and took people's guns away will be re-elected and that even Democrats are disgusted with Clinton.

US-built floating pier that will allow delivery of humanitarian aid has been anchored in Gaza

Quote
The floating pier that will allow for humanitarian aid to flow into Gaza from the sea has been anchored to a beach in Gaza, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Personnel anchored the pier at about 7:40 a.m. local time, “supporting the humanitarian mission to deliver additional humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians,” CENTCOM said in a statement. The pier had traveled on Wednesday from the port of Ashdod, about 30 miles away, to the Gaza beach.

Trucks are expected to begin moving the humanitarian aid ashore in the coming days, while the United Nations will coordinate distribution within the besieged strip, CENTCOM said, adding that no US troops had entered Gaza.

The Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) system consists of two parts: the floating pier where shipments will be offloaded and the causeway to transfer the shipments to the distribution point in Gaza.

This is purely performative and won't actually help the people of Gaza.
