Things are getting very nasty in Vtpol.

Relations between Phil Scott and legislative Democrats have never been worse, I will try not to editorialize but the battle over education funding as intensified, with Phil Scott's veto of the yield bill being overridden. Rhetoric is intensifying as battle lines harden with elections approaching.

Phil is seeming very not like himself. Part of me thinks what with the pandemic, the flooding, the supermajority, and his party turning into a fascist cult, his heart isn't in it anymore and Gibbs is running the show.

Married.

Just celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary at the Oregon Coast right down the road from where we were married.

We just spent a night in Bandon last month, and we saw some of the coast closer to Portland a couple of years ago. I can see why that would be a draw for both weddings and anniversaries.

Feeding desperate Americans all those false promises back in 2008 was an incredibly cruel thing to do. We live in a more nihilistic time than ever and a lot of that can be blamed on Obama's platform being a complete scam.

I wouldn’t go that far. I think he genuinely was optimistic back then, perhaps even a but naive as far as politicians go. He seemed to truly think he could get the GOP to cooperate given the mess the country was in. Big mistake of course, and in hindsight Hillary was definitely the way to go. She had enough experience to not make the same mistakes. Better foreign policy too. The world will never know what a Clinton/Obama ticket might have led to. We could well be on year 16 of Democratic control of the White House after both of their administrations.

Clinton also became well respected by both Democratic and Republican colleagues during her time in the Senate.

I voted for her in the Pennsylvania primary in 2008.  There was a time when I would have changed my vote to Obama if I could have revoted, but now I think I made the right decision.

I haven't agreed with every decision they've made, but overall I'd say they're just right. I appreciate that posters are given multiple chances before they're permabanned and that they won't ban someone for criticizing their decisions.

Never been in a romantic relationship. I've had a lot of unrequited crushes though.

unfortunately for me my crushes have predominantly been on fictional wolf boys

Just because you can enjoy a mans figure and his body doesnt mean youre lgtb. Plenty of young women are more likely to find other women hot. That didnt mean that they are lesbean. The same is true for men. Some even think im gay even tho im not.

alright, now I'm convinced you're a parody account

We need more diverse representation  on the team. Like Fuzzy Bear, he might make a good moderator.

I wonder what Fuzzy thinks.

Fuzzy reactly wanted Badger to get moderated for calling Fuzzy a “disingenuous liar” someone who thinks that term is an unfair personal attack should be nowhere near mod powers

Since it's OK to call someone a "disingenous liar", I'll state that this term applies to you.

Perhaps I'm being hard.  Perhaps you're unaware of important facts.

I once told a poster who was dogging me with attacks that they needed a relationship, and rather badly at that. That was deleted as a "Personal Attack".  Should THAT moderator be anywhere near mod powers?

I once lamented that a poster's posts should be up to the standards of his signature after a demeaning response to me.  That was deleted as a "Personal Attack".  Should THAT moderator be anywhere near mod powers"

I suggested to a poster who considered me inept that he could reassess me as soon as he moved out of his parents' house.  That was deleted as a "Personal Attack".  Should THAT moderator be anywhere near mod powers?"

Perhaps I believe Badger calling me a "disingenous liar" should be a post that is deleted and infracted is because I have had posts deleted and infracted as "personal attacks" for far less.  I have a basis in fact to view Badger's action as a "personal attack" and I would like to know why such a character attack isn't considered a "personal attack"

On this issue, there is one standard for me and another standard for red avatars.  That's not OK.  What I posted was far less of a "personal attack" than Badger's attack on me.

How the same moderating team could delete the posts I mention here, yet let Badger's comment to stand in the same subforum is a legitimate question.  It goes to basic fairness.  But if Badger's calling me a disingenous liar is OK for him, be assured that I will use that term on the posters I believe it apples to, and I expect no action to be taken against any post of mine that reads that way, given your stance.

Clearly, Badger should have called you an awful human being, since that's apparently acceptable behavior.

There is a YouTube channel I discovered called Republican Voices Against Trump which may have some people that fit into this group. Most of the people interviewed were white and older (two of the only groups that I expect Biden to either maintain or possibly improve in), and concerned about Trump's behavior since 11/3. I can't speak for all of them, but I'm guessing that most of them are still ideologically conservative and would vote for another Republican.

I think you mean Republican Voters Against Trump and that's actually whom I was thinking when I saw this thread. The organization only focuses on Jan.6 and election denialism. And that's it...they're not like the Lincoln Project who will criticize Trump for the type of tie he wears.

Yep
