Hopefully at least some community service!

I guess it could be rich seeing Trump pick up garbage along the Westside highway.

Seems like a stretch to me honestly. I mean it's a **** post and he probably is talking about her among others but it seems like you could also interpret it as applying a whole bunch of people that aren't covered. I don't think he's going to get put in jail for that but we'll see!

Significant evidence admitted at the end of Stormy's redirect:

Next witness is Weisselberg's assistant:

That is absolutely pathetic.  It's on the level of Douglas MacArthur threatening to kill himself so a subordinate would tell him that he (MacArthur) was so valuable that the country couldn't spare him.

He actually should seek professional help. I'm not even saying this as a joke.

Big implication for the primary purpose of the payment:

This is that dictator type insecurity as seen with Franco and Mussolini or Putin right now.

Madeleine Westerhout is testifying. I've been curious about this since I'm one of the lucky 13,300 few following her on her usually private Instagram. But she's posted zip about this, boo.

You didn't attack particulars of business records. you attacked claim of sex. that gave prosecution right to defend her, including w/ details that lend credibility if jury believes them. Motion for mistrial DENIED.

Very eloquent, persuasive, and definitive denial of mistrial, combined w/ criticism of defense lawyers. High drama in courtroom considering it was just the judge, lawyers, and legal argument.

Very bad day for Susan Necheles, with jury, judge, and probably Trump.

Not even sure what they were thinking with the mistrial, they're the ones who brought sex into it. If all you can do to defend yourself is ask for a mistrial that should tell you something.

The defense has been gobsmackingly bad on the procedural stuff. If you think the prosecution’s questions are salacious and irrelevant, just object to them during questioning!

I'm probably going to jinx it, but here it goes: is it me? Or is this trial going unusually well for the prosecution?

It seems so to me too, but remember that we're only seeing the prosecution's case so far.  The defense will have their own witnesses to call.

That's right. I think the defense's case is getting increasingly more difficult to prove though, just by how the prosecution has been so far and how much of the defense is about Trump's ego more than anything.

Non-zero chance that Trump is just angling for an appeal on grounds of insufficient counsel.

The defense doesn't have to prove it's case--only the prosecution does.  The defense doesn't have to prove anything in a criminal trial.

So far, the prosecution has only even attempted to prove a very small part of their case, and at least for me, it was the part I was already most inclined to believe going in.  I really hope we get off the hush money payment stuff really soon and move on to making the case about records falsification and campaign finance violations.

The Defense isn't required to do anything, but if they want to win they need to sow reasonable doubt if the prosecution has proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
