Which Jim will win by more? Jim Banks or Jim Justice? Assume Manchin is running for re-election.

Banks. Will Justice even win the GOP nomination?

Justice, Manchin is running third party he hasn't endorsed Biden that's a clear signal he isn't running for reelection

It's gonna be a three way race Biden v Manchin v TRUMP get used to saying that

Nothing; its just that its hard to beat a sitting Governor in an open US Senate primary.

Justice is beloved by D's and Rs he was a Dixiecrat like Byrd was but turned R because WV isn't a Dixiecrat state anymore it's an R state since Byrd Died that's the clear indicator of what type of person Jefferson was compared to LBJ states rights v Fed rights

VA was a Dixiecrat state turned D state because of Doug Wilder

Holcomb hasnít given any indication that he will run and I donít expect him to.

And even if Holcomb did run, I can imagine plenty of more conservative Republicans getting behind a candidate like Banks (who is my current congressman, and always does quite well in Indiana's 3rd).

Just look at Donald Rainwater's numbers in the 2020 Indiana gubernatorial - a Libertarian getting 11.4% is impressed, and at least 8% of that came from disaffected Republican voters.

Even a closer match would be Diego Morales ousting incumbent Holli Sullivan in the 2020 Secretary of State race, and Sullivan was chosen by Holcomb.

It'd still be difficult for Banks to defeat an incumbent Republican, if Holcomb did run, but I think it could definitely be done in a state like Indiana.

Justice will win by more!

Reason: There is still a sizable Democratic Vote in Indianapolis proper, Blomington and the Northwest Corner of the State (Hammond & Gary)

Democrats in West Virginia do not have these kinds of Vote Pockets in the State anymore. Hillary Clinton & Joe Biden did not manage to win even a single County in WV during the 2016 & 2020 Pres Races. Now Manchin will win some Counties and he still can lose by 25-30 Points.

Probably Justice because of partisan lean.
