I cannot think of anyone having such potential, such promise, only to squander it on a silly little dance as she abandoned all her past positions becoming the thing she once sought to destroy

So Gallego sent out this email basically saying he’s going to run, just not yet

So here is the truth about whether or not I am going to run against Senator Sinema:

Yes, I am thinking about it.

Yes, I have already been preparing for this possibility even before her party switch.

Yes, I believe that as a Marine, a Latino, and someone with a record of standing up for working people we can build a coalition that will win a 2-way race, 3-way race, 27-way race… doesn’t matter.

But what I need to know — more than ANYTHING else — is that the grassroots support is there. That’s the piece. If it’s there, this choice is easy.

So today, I am asking:

Please make a $3 contribution to my campaign. We will put it right to work making sure we have the resources we need to defeat Senator Sinema from day one.

I really hope Kate Gallego also jumps in cause I think it would be hilarious to have divorcees airing out their divorce in a national focus campaign

Biggest question in this race is whether Sinema is willing to dropout if she is still polling at around 10% in early 2024.

Her polling doesn’t matter, it’s if she stops getting air time.

From his appearance on CNN yesterday, it looks like he's now up to nearly $3M (or maybe already hit it at this point)

I wonder how much he had on hand, he’s from one of the bluest seats in Arizona so he probably has a large war chest

Very skeptical that Sinema would approach 30% as an Independent:

The survey, which was conducted for Progress Arizona, LUCHA, and Replace Sinema PAC, tests out two different potential Republican candidates: conspiracy theorist Kari Lake, who claims she won the 2022 race for governor, and former Gov. Doug Ducey:

Gallego (D): 50, Lake (R): 45

Gallego (D): 36, Lake (R): 36, Sinema (I-inc): 24

Gallego (D): 37, Ducey (R): 31, Sinema (I-inc): 27

Sinema’s absolute limit is 20%, and even that is a tall order. Realisticly I think she won’t break 15%

So hypothetically, if Kari Lake somehow doesn’t run for Senate, could the GOP just go ahead and reluctantly endorse Sinema?

They will never endorse somebody who voted twice to convict Trump.

Or who is extremely socially liberal and a partisan dem on basically everything except the filibuster and taxes.

If Lake doesn't run, I would be extremely shocked if the AZ GOP failed to recruit even some random ass state legislator to run. Even if some random small business owner gets on the ballot, they'd endorse them over Sinema.
