If Democrats and the Rainbowpeeps of Florida really joined forces, they could launch a massive ad campaign in the state to focus on several Republican legislators that voted for this bigoted, bigoted bill - one of the most disgraceful bills in a swing state.  They should hang their heads in shame for this monstrosity...

Sue the state into oblivion if this becomes law.  I could see this becoming a nationalized law very quickly.

Also, I think everyone in Florida should be emboldened by this to scream the word "Gay"... Students should protest throughout the state... and parents should be calling up their state representatives every day until this is repealed or overturned by the courts.

The gas prices were down before the Ukraine crisis it's back to 5.09 and Congress still don't believe in one more stimulus check and it's 7.5 inflation it's not about jobs it's about inflation to get one more check and unemployment is still low but 250 K people filed new unemployment claims, jobs are cutting hrs, desk clerks in my building hrs are being reduced to 15/20 hrs a week, so even if you have a job we still need one more stimulus due to part time not full time work. Employers are reducing hrs again

As someone who was/is an LGBT youth, I am more than aware of that. When did I, or anyone else here, seriously accuse any one poster of causing anyone's death? That being said, bad and discriminatory policy like this does contribute negatively to the mental health of LGBT Youth who already have to face discrimination at school.

Forcing them back into the closet in one of the few places where they may feel safe being themselves is only going to worsen the feelings of isolation that many of them feel. How can you not understand that? And this bill is very likely to cause at least some kids to be forcibly outed to families who are not accepting of their sexuality, which is likely to lead to abuse or worse. That's a simple fact.

We shouldn't be teaching sexuality in K-12. Not useful and it's just virtue signaling. Parents care about their kids being productive citizens, learning to read and write, have some skills in order to function as an adult, and simply being kids. This bill doesn't help with any of that.
