So how does Russia continue it war on Ukraine after this?

It's clear for anyone to see that Russia is too weak to even control its own territory.
They don’t, Ukraine will see to it that they get most of their territory back and basically end the war

Also, I’m unsurprised the sections of the exiled Russian bourgeoisie are backing prighozin

Quote from: Machiavelli
The mercenary captains are either capable men or they are not; if they are, you cannot trust them, because they always aspire to their own greatness, either by oppressing you, who are their master, or others contrary to your intentions

Still holds true. Maybe Putin should have read The Prince.

A true blast from the past (like Russian civil wars), built in 1981.

I guess this means the Rostov airport is still open? ....For now?

If Russia is serious about peace, they need to make territorial concessions to Wagner to end the war.

What does this mean? An emissary?

I'm not sure. By the time I went to flightradar24 the plane was no longer there/being tracked. I'm guessing they turned off their transponder.

That would be ideal. The question is if Western policymakers have enough will and/or ability to acheive that. They are partially chained to the whims of their voters.

Critically that runs against the interest of the USA military-industrial complex that helps fund the neocons in USA politics
True, there is some clash between the desire for America to have better market share in the arms market and Ukraine being able to stand on its own.
Ukraine would be well-advised to try to get funds from elsewhere just to hedge its options. (Gulf Arab money and the Saudis being kept as options just in case)

I will do one better.  Ukraine should take a more moderate position toward the Russians, at least appear so.  Ukraine then can say to collective West: "if you do not help us build up our military industrial complex with tons of aid and technology as well as tons of economic aid, I will do a deal with Putin where we will align with Russia geopolitically."  Even if it is a bluff the perception that Ukraine could go that way will enhance its negociations power vis-à-vis the collective West
This cannot be done with Putin, who is literally waging a war to exterminate Ukrainians, but it's possible with Erdogan or Xi. As far as I could see, the Ukrainian government treats them very well. Maybe they just can't imagine that there could be another monster like Putin in the world.

This is one of those weeks where decades happen.

Yup. Whether Prigozhin wins or loses, there is going to be a very different constitutional order in Russia after this plays out.

I can kinda see this turning to a Warlord Era for Russia.

Well, looks like "Putin's Chef" is now accusing the Russian military of having deliberately killed civilians... (Presumably Ukrainian).

Murky is the swamp...

I guarantee you a warlord era will be much, much worse for Russian civilians than even Putin's rule, but I suppose your delusional dreams of a communist revolution that will never happen are more important than what actually will happen.

Yeah I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a Warlord Era in a country with nuclear weapons is not a good idea.
