The Russians have fully turned to Grozny tactics in Kharkiv. If you want to see some of the results, search "Харків" in twitter (WARNING extremely graphic). Evidently even more graphic images are in various war related telegram chats/channels if you've been keeping up using those.

But at least there was this one tweet that heartened me a little:

translation according to google "Our cats protect the entrance to Ukraine"

Because this is making me so angry here are some of the non-graphic images. If this doesn't get "the West" to get involved beyond dumping weapons into Ukraine, nothing will:

"for my native Kharkiv, these bitches must answer separately"

"Kharkiv after the racist attack."

Does anyone have an informed opinion as to whether Putin has gone nutter in a way that he was not before, and yes, you guessed it, that covid isolation might have had something to do with it?

What is happening now in Ukraine is the genocide of the Ukrainian people. If we talk about me, everything is calm in my region, except for the shelling of military units. I have now signed up for territorial defense and am preparing to defend my country

You are a hero Andriy and May god bless you in your efforts to defeat the Russian invaders

 "Kharkiv region
As of 16:00, as a result of an air strike between the 2nd and 3rd entrances of a five-storey residential building (6 entrances in total), 8 people died and 6 were injured, 38 were rescued, 2 of them were released from the rubble. ). The work continues."

"Karazin University. Kharkov.

The first university in Eastern Europe, founded in 1805. This building appeared in 1930-1932. Rebuilt after the Second World [War]. Now, after the morning shelling, my university, where I sat in the classrooms and listened to lectures, looks like this:"

"Kharkiv after the air strike."

According comments to the first tweet below, the boundaries/regions shown within Ukraine are Ukrainian Ground Forces Operational Commands.

The four staffers in former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder's Bundestag office have resigned in protest against Schröder's continued presence on the boards of Russian energy companies.

Meanwhile, former Left Party chair Gregor Gysi has practically accused his party colleague Sahra Wagenknecht, until last week probably Germany's most prominent Putin advocate on the left side of the political spectrum, of being a sociopath (incapable of feeling emotions).

In Portugal, a PCP headquarters in Alentejo, Beja city to be precise, was vandalized with anti-PCP and anti-Russian words. Words like "You have Ukrainian blood in your sickle" where written in the front of the headquarters.

Also, Russian communities in Portugal are receiving death threats and being bullied. According to Russian community associations, several Russian immigrants in Portugal are receiving threatening phone calls and are being discriminated in every day activities.

Fortunately, I haven't heard of any similar reports in Germany so far. Maybe we're just a culturally too pro-Russian society for that? At least I hope so.

Here seems to be, unfortunately, pretty big this kind of reaction. The media is picking it up and the Russian Embassy in Portugal is advising people to communicate to the authorities any situations of discrimination and threats. In schools, Russian kids are also being bullied by other kids, it seems, calling them aggressors and damned.

This kind of actions are really awful, mainly to kids, seriously Sad

The use of a vacuum bomb would explain why casualties were so high, compared to previous Russian strikes on Ukrainian military targets.

Definitely, but I just found out that video in question was from Syria not Ukraine so I deleted it.

It’s been easy for everyone in the past to ignore some of Putin’s other crazy moves and treat them like he’s a mastermind playing 5D chess. But this is the only world leader outside Kim Jong Un who has openly had his political opposition assassinated in foreign countries. He’s also almost certainly the one who had his own capital bombed to pave the way for a war in Chechnya to boost his popularity. Nothing he’s doing now is THAT far from how he’s always been in my opinion.

So media facilities are military targets, after all. Thanks for clearing that up, Russia.

Side note, not telling the rankers what to expect could be a huge strategic mistake if the supply clerks didn’t know that they were going to need to the fuel, ammo, and rations they were selling out the back.

Pro-western parties won the parliamentary elections in July, and the Presidency the previous November.

Again, this makes no sense. I'm not Russian. I'm basically watching a football game here.

If your emotional investment in this conflict is comparable to a football game, then you may have a serious psychological problem. You are capable of empathy, right?
