Hasn't Charlie Moore been playing college basketball for something like 10 years now?

The problem with brackets is not mild upsets it's Mid Major Upsets, I pick upsets every year but it's wrong because it's a 6 v 1 not a Mid Major that's why Baylor, Nova win and not Gonzaga, that's why many brackets were busted with KY loses

Whom would of thought UCONN loses in first round I had in one bracket going against Zags like I said I pick upsets but not the early knockout and that's why it's so hard to win these brackets

My bracket is lost anyway I KY Lost

I may win but not the Grand prize but seeding pts

The Florida Gators are hiring San Francisco Head Coach Todd Golden.

Excellent hire, and possibly has the potential to be the most impactful hire in the SEC this year (depending on where LSU goes with their vacancy).

Illinois trailed almost the entire game but overcame Chattanooga 54-53.  The Mocs missed a good shot at the buzzer that would have won.

It looks like Missouri will hire Cleveland State Head Coach Dennis Gates.

If this comes to pass, it's an excellent hire. Gates has done very well at Cleveland State the past two seasons, and dramatically raised the profile of the Vikings.

Still, I have to think Gates is settling here, when he easily could have had the Xavier or LSU jobs if he wanted them. Like in football, Missouri basketball just isn't really good, and is one of the weaker schools in the SEC.

If I were Missouri, assuming money was not an object, I'd consider returning to the Big Twelve, quite frankly, given it's a better home for the athletic programs, and there's a natural rivalry with Kansas, or trying to get into the Big Ten, for the natural rivalry with Illinois.

The Tigers are just out of place in the SEC, and won't do better there, especially with Texas and Oklahoma coming in.

SEC didn't do well at all in the first round, going 3-3.  Kentucky's loss was a huge surprise.  But LSU and Alabama were fading into Feburary, and they were both overseeded at #6.  Not very competitive today against their respective opponents.

The Mountain West has been the big bust--with all four of their entrants going down yesterday.

I'd probably argue in hindsight that Kentucky and Tennessee's seed lines should have been switched.

I was happy Illini pulled off that comeback.

North Carolina was blowing out Baylor, but after Brady Manek was ejected for a flagrant-2 foul, the Bears have cut a 25-point deficit to 9 with a little over 5 minutes left.

Baylor has tied it with 15.8 seconds left -- a 38-13 run since Manek was ejected.

North Carolina hangs on in OT and knocks out #1 seed (and defending champion) Baylor.  The #1 and #2 seeds in the East Region are already out.

So much for my brackets they are all finished.

Try He only year I won was 1999 with UCONN and that was before Internet and Cell phones and I didn't enter a bracket because Richard Hamilton was unstoppable

Sean Miller, who likely is facing some sort penalty for his role in the Adidas shoe scandal while serving as Head Coach at Arizona, just agreed to take the job at Xavier.

This is likely going to be a disastrous hire for Xavier, especially since we don't know what penalties Miller will face for paying players under the table at Arizona.

He easily could face a show-cause penalty or worse, and Xavier could be forced to fire him fairly quickly.

Maryland is deep in negotiations with Seton Hall head coach Kevin Willard to fill the vacancy there.

If these negotiations end with Willard taking the job at Maryland, my guesses for who will replace him at Seton Hall are as follows:

Saint Peter Head Coach Shaheen Holloway
Former Kansas State Head Coach Bruce Weber
Former St. John's Head Coach Steve Lavin
Harvard Head Coach Tommy Amaker
Former South Carolina Head Coach Frank Martin
