Tennessee is dominating Arkansas, up 50-29 at the half.

Arkansas came all the way back and had a chance to tie with under a minute left, but couldn't get over the top.  They lost 78-74.

Syracuse led Miami by 18 early in the second half, and 70-60 with a little over 2 minutes to play, but completely imploded down the stretch and lost 75-72.

Losing Jessie Edwards to injury really hurt the Orange.  Looks like they will miss the post-season.  I think it's happened only once in over 50 years.

Wyoming defeats Fresno State. Oregon lost and won’t get an at-large bid.

The first two #1 tourney seeds lost today, UNI got throttled by Loyola and Texas St lost a shocker to #8 ULL

North Texas which had a #39 Net lost at UTEP today if they had beat UTEP but had lost the tourney finals they would have had to be given consideration for an at-large, but probably not now.

I would have to disagree with you on North Texas. Assuming that the Mean Green don't win the Conference USA Tournament, I think they still would have had to need to win at least two games at the ESPN Events Invitational back in November, one of them being Kansas, and the other being either Alabama or Miami(FL). That would have been enough for an NCAA Tournament bid, even with the losses to UTEP, UAB and Buffalo, if they lost in the Conference USA Tournament Final.

With their NET ranking, they would certainly have been considered for an at-large if they had won out and only lost in the conference tourney final.  They might not have gotten one in the end, but they definitely would have been in the discussion.

Iowa State fell behind Baylor 29-4 (yes, really) but has come all the way back to tie it at 62 with five minutes left.

Duke, which crushed North Carolina in Chapel Hill, is about to lose to them in Coach K's final home game.

After Liberty misses a game-tying three, Bellarmine will have the opportunity to play spoiler in the ASUN Tournament championship as has happened in this poorly constructed conference a couple of times now.

Jacksonville is obviously in with a win, relishing the opportunity to get to their first Final Four since 1970. (*eee-eeee-ee-eeeeee*)

If Bellarmine wins, the bid goes to Jacksonville State (no relation). (*cooooock-a-doodle-doooooo*)

Liberty and Jacksonville State may be departing, but they will leave the conference with two new powers joining FGCU at the top.

Murray State wins the OVC championship over Morehead State 71-67, and bubble teams everywhere breathe a sigh of relief.

There's a wild one going on in the Southland Conference, as McNeese and Houston Baptist are going to a third OT tied at 115.

Bellarmine made the jump from D2 to D1 what? 2 years ago and they're competing for a conference tournament. Sadly, they're not allowed to participate in the NCAA tournament because they're in the transition period between D1 and D2, but this is good for the future of the program. I'd say Bellarmine has a good shot at winning the CBI this year though.

Bellarmine had a great D2 program in a great basketball state and great D1 standing from lacrosse. They'll be a good force, somewhere between a Morehead State and a Murray State in the long run (probably closer to the former, with upside of the latter)

The one to look out for long term as a legitimate brand name however will be St. Thomas. They had a rough patch this year, but the D3 to D1 transition is incalculably more difficult. I think they will get a Missouri Valley invite sooner or later and will potentially be what Creighton was pre-Big East, given their athletic investments - the real team to beat in their state despite a long standing power conference flagship school.

The real one to watch out for is Presentation College when it decides to make the jump from NAIA to D1.  I actually was surprise at how large St. Thomas is, and God knows a Catholic school without a D1 basketball program is like the Pope without his big hat.

Houston Baptist won in 4OT, 149-144.  I suspect that the 293 total points are probably the most in a game between two D1 schools since Loyola Marymount's crazy offense in the late 80s and early 90s.

Today's bubble games.  It's the final day of the regular season!

Houston @ Memphis - A win should put the Tigers safely in, while they would still have a shot with a loss if they have a strong showing in the AAC tourney (e.g. beat SMU in semis, lose to Houston in final).

Penn State @ Rutgers - Rutgers can't afford a bad loss here.

Michigan @ Ohio State - Michigan: see Memphis.

Loyola-Chicago vs. Drake (MVC tournament final) - Loyola might get an at-large bid if they lose, although it's unlikely.  No other MVC team will get one.

Tulane @ SMU - SMU needs to win this and have a good showing in the conference tourney.

UC Riverside's loss at the last second to Long Beach State because of a foul and UC Santa Barbara's win against Hawaii cost UC Riverside the fifth seed in the Big West tournament.

The highest scoring game in college basketball history was  in 1992 when Div II Troy St. beat NAIA DeVry ( yes that Devry, or specifically their Atlanta campus) 253 to  141.  Exactly how that was done is part of this rather difficult to watch youtube

Yep, I remember that game.  The record for a game between Div 1 teams is Loyola Marymount's 181-150 win over US International, which IIRC was a few years before that.

Memphis leads Houston 42-20 at the under-4 timeout in the first half.  Houston, which is not a deep team, is playing its fourth game in eight days, and it shows.
