4 pollsters out today (though Rasmussen is garbage, let's just be real), have Biden's approval at < -10. Averages are important, but I think it's worth nothing if there is 4 in one day that are outside the close to -20 we are seeing in some other polls.

I don't think approval ratings are as relevant anymore.

I know 3/5th's of sweet f' all about US politics,.but I have noticed sitting President's are always underwater on the approval rating.

When asked, a majority of American's probably just complain and disapprove of politicians full stop.

From a distance, Biden is doing a great job in the Middle East.

Again, there seems to be a universe where he's closer to -10, and then another closer to -20.

Are people underrating foreign affairs as a big reason for Biden's low approval ratings?

Since he took office: the Taliban took over Afghanistan (which is when his approval ratings really tanked), Putin invaded Ukraine, Hamas attacked Israel, Venezuela's invasion of Guyana looks imminent and China has been threatening Taiwan. Frankly, the world has felt like a less stable place than it did during Trump's presidency and a lot of people probably feel uneasy because of that.

The world is less stable. The 2010s were a uniquely stable period in world history and it appears we've returned to something more akin to the 80s and 90s.
