My hunch is that tonight, Joe Biden won the Presidency of the United States. In my view, this is going to hurt Trump, not help him. He and his family are now paying the consequences for not taking this virus seriously. I wish them a full and speedy recovery, but they should not have been so reckless, and this could have serious consequences for our country, were Trump to die or be incapacitated from this nefarious virus.

I was in (Republic of) Georgia when Hillary had her health scare at the 9/11 memorial in 2016 and people asked me if I thought it would hurt her chances. I said no because Americans don't really care about that sort of thing. Turns out I was wrong and that was actually one of the big inflection points of the campaign. People don't want to vote for someone they see as old and weak, even if they have personal sympathy for their situation. If Trump is asymptomatic, I don't think this changes much. But if he's coughing, sweaty, and short of breath for several weeks, I think he's headed down the same path as Hillary.

You’re right but also - There are 33 days left until the election. A two week quarantine from today gets us down to 19 days, and that’s IF he’s asymptomatic and recovers quickly. I would be more expecting that we don’t see him campaigning any more at all than seeing him campaigning sick.
