If even Barack Obama could not unite the country after George W. Bush, does anyone really believe Joe Biden would be able to do so after Donald Trump?
Yes. Obama was a black, you see, and therefore 40-45% of the country hated him.

No. Biden is an old, angry, white, cis-male, you see. Therefore 40-45% of the Democratic Party already hates him.

Ah yes, we just hate him so much that we're... *checks notes* ... more unified as a party than we've been at any other point over these past 5 years or so?

People often talk about how Democrats don't understand White America and Republican POV's. But stuff like this makes me think the is goes the other way too, perhaps even more. Biden literally has the support of 95% of Dems. Nobody cares what groups he is a part of.

Many Voters having a difficulty voting for Biden BECAUSE of Kamala Harris. They don't want this San Francisco + New York like Clown Show of Harris, Pelosi, Schumer and AOC running the Country. Voters know that if you vote for Biden you'll eventually get Kamala Harris as POTUS. Biden is 77 years, turns 78 just before Inauguration Day. Highly unlikely he even makes through the next four years. He may very well have to resign because of Health Reasons given Harris a leg up in the 2024 Primaries.

Harris has the highest favorables of any major candidate in the race, but don't let facts get in the way of your nonsense.

Are there going to be polls right up until November 3, or do they typically stop doing them the weekend before?

I would appreciate a fresh set of Pennsylvania polling, so that we can verify whether folks should really be concerned about Biden's energy comments at the debate. I'd also be interested to know if Trump's comments today, about how all the TVs want to cover nowadays is COVID, hurts him more in Florida.

Not against you, but this is a false fake media narrative. Energy is not that big of an issue in PA, and especially not that big of an issue where Biden's comments would hurt him. Pundits seem to think fracking is also a major issue in PA, when it's only an actual issue in like... a few counties in the entire state

I hear you, and for what it is worth I don't believe the concern trolls. But to your point, I shouldn't be amplifying the concern trolling by asking the question. My bad. As an side, do folks believe energy is a big issue in Pennsylvania because they are confused about the location of the Keystone Pipeline?

Everyone's favorite website says otherwise. Unless you want to argue that the "silent majority" are really Democrats.

Add the Sanders vote and arguably the Bloomberg vote to boot. That take is embarrassing at this stage.

Lol yeah I didn't even think of that. Old white cis-males won a combined 85% of the primary vote and 97% of the delegates.

Not to mention Bloomberg, Biden, and Bernie won > 90% of the nonwhite vote lol. They got under 80 of the white vote lol.

Literally every county in the country in the Democratic primary was won by a white male aside from a random scattering in a total of three states that had narrow plurality wins by one of two white women.

Are we getting an ABC/WAPO poll tonight? The last one was 2 weeks ago... or will they just do a final one for next weekend?

Yeah, I imagine that most pollsters are likely going to hold out until the final weekend. No point releasing one right now and then scramble to put another one together for next weekend.

I mean, why not both? National high quality pollsters should've been doing new polls every week this entire month.

Why aren't there more Ann Selzer polls? You would think considering their great track record, more media outlets would commission that firm for polls. But there is like 1 Selzer poll a month if we are lucky, which the the newspapers and local tv channels keep commissioning average pollsters to run their polls.

In general, we're getting nothing and it's frustrating. I know polling outfits dont have all the money in the world, but them doing like 1 poll the entire month in October is just ridiculous at this point

Not sure where to post this, but: today, the Redsk--uh...Football Team Rule comes into play.

For the uninitiated, the rule is a factitious relationship between the results of the last Washington Football Team (formerly Redskins) game before a Presidential Election and the results of that election.

If Washington wins, the incumbent party remains in the White House.  If Washington loses, the incumbent party is ousted from the White House.  Since 1932, the rule has applied in all but four elections (1932, 2004, 2012, and 2016).

Washington currently leads Dallas 9-3 at the end of the 1st quarter (and they have next week off).

Yes yes, false correlation and all.  But if y'all want Biden to win, y'all better root for the Cowboys.
