This reads like an Onion article from 2002.

Worst US state to live in is Alaska.  Best is Hawaii.  Not difficult.

Really I just want more strictness in banning people who are utter assholes and bigots, and more strict patrolling of posts that are bigoted against people.  (I.E:  The Trans threads that sometimes boil down to calling trans people mentally ill)

I'm not sure if getting rid of Muon is the best way to reach that conclusion, but I know something has to change.

Either DJT or Gary Johnson, leaning towards DJT but wouldn't be surprised if it were the latter

LMAO, there really isn't a clear pattern to that map, dude ... maybe simply a positive correlation with the South.

Yeah, I'm tired of people trying to make every single thing about partisan politics. it's so annoying.

Is Bernie still running? I only hear about Biden these days.

Don't worry he's still in the race. Bernie is just gasping about the poor performance of Jeremy Corbyn in the European election, knowing it will have a mark on his electorally.

I mean, good for him to have an opinion on it, I guess. However, he isn't an American citizen nor does he have any say in our policies here.

I hadn't really thought about this before but OSR has some good points-
I would say yes by a long shot. Bryan nomination fundamentally changed the party from being not that different from the GOP on economic issues to being a populist liberal party in favor of the activist government.  Take Grover Cleveland for an example , he was in favor of laissez faire capitalism who didnt believe the government shouldn't intervene in bad economic times one bit and was in support of the Gold Standard as well.

And I really dont buy the argument that the Democrats were in favor of small government because that was the pro worker position at the time because by the 1870s being in favor of limited government was clearly a pro-business position like it was until the 1850s. Remember the Democrats at the time were pretty much anti-union as well just like the GOP was so you could make an argument that the Democrats were a pro business party at the time a well.

Bryan basically changed all of that and the party really hanst changed directions since then

Maybe suburban Republicans who dislike Trump but aren't ready to outright leave the GOP and people voting third-party. Peters probably wins though, while he could get Bill Nelson syndrome he probably won't.

Clearly there's nothing more important (like solving actual problems) for the DOE to be doing than create the terms "freedom gas" and "molecules of US freedom".

I mean it's just such a meaningless question.   Being logical or ethical isn't some discrete unit you can quantify.  Both are part of our experience, inseparable from our larger selves. If you are looking for someone who is going to be consistently either logical or ethical the answer is zilch -- unless you define these terms broadly enough to include any subjective experience of internal logic or a potentially warped ethical evaluation and then the  answer is 100%.

I'm not sure if it's his intention but it could be rather clever as it suggests the GOP is so far to the right that even a solid Dem voter like him is really a moderate, highlighting the GOP's extremism and the US's relative conservatism compared to other developed nations.

Liberal, with some oddly conservative and far-left views on certain issues

Mindset of Chuck Schumer, but willing to be Ben Nelson on some issues, and Bernie Sanders, on others
