If you make arrangements very early in the relationship, you can have both.  I made it clear to my wife before we were even officially a couple that I would not be missing an MSU football game for any reason ever, that I planned to spend fall Saturdays watching as much college football as possible, and that I expected her to console me whenever MSU loses.  Since I got it out of the way early, I got the best of both worlds.

Make no mistake, she is a huge college football fan.  She goes to most Oklahoma State home games since she lives in Stillwater.  I'm an Oklahoma Sooner fan, so we've talked about the fun Bedlam competitions we will have in the house!

We haven't discussed marriage per se, but the conversations have been one of "if we do get married, then such and such will happen."  She's nearly 28, so she's ready to settle down, too, so if I just behave I'll be fine.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get some homework done this evening since I have nowhere to go or nothing I have to do.  I am nearly finished with Course 3, "Engineering Principles."  I just have one lesson left and the final.  I should be ready to start Course 4, "Engineering CADD" before lunch Wednesday.  Engineering CADD is set for a 4 week course, so if I start it Wednesday, September 25, I should move on to Course 5 by Wednesday, November 6.

We haven't discussed medical conditions yet, but I do know that even though she is large, she does do all these walks for certain medical conditions.  So, she does walk, which will be great for me!  In fact, she has a walk in Stillwater next Saturday morning which is why I'm not meeting her until Noon.
