I hope NSV is alright. And I don't mean that in a spiteful way.
Why would you feel someone who treated people like sh**t..?

We should hope for the best for everyone. Even those who would not do the same for us.
Meh.. it's a election result.. I accepted Biden, he can get over Youngkin.

I would like to thank everyone for behaving themselves tonight. Toxicity was...mostly lacking, which is remarkable. And we had a huge amount of fun doing what we like to do best.

Eh, he'll be writing a book about why CRT and letting teachers dictate your child's life is great and plugging it on CNN once the holidays are over. This ain't the end of the Mac as a figure. He'll just pull the classic Clinton move and double down on his gaffes and form a PAC or something.

My Youngkin 1-2 point win prediction looking good.

After seeing what vote is left, I am less confident.

It's a weird law. But it goes all the way back to the 1830s

North Carolina had the same law for a long time. It allowed for incumbent reelection maybe 1970sish.

Yeah. Other states, like Nevada which once had a law like this have repealed them decades ago. I actually support this kind of system, as it puts fresh blood in the governors office every 4 years.

Its over for Terri. Hes too old to continue being bagman for the Clinton crime syndicate so like all good Dems nearing their sunset years, theres only one option left for him: Time to send him over to MSNBC

I'm mildly against such a law in the abstract, but I'm strongly in favor of VA having one, because it's an interesting thing for a state to have and having diversity between states in this sort of thing just makes politics more interesting.

Huh? Now NYT is saying 94% is in rather that 95%+. It's been a rather steady 97-98k lead for Youngkin.

Glenn Youngkin (R) leads by 97.629 votes over Terry McAuliffe (D) with an estimated 96 percent of votes counted

I don't see T-mac winning this, if it was only 60000 votes, maybe, but 98000 96%?

There still might be some mail-in/early votes still unaccounted for. I think that's why they're holding off. 39% of Chesterfield is still out and that's probably where the bulk of the remaining non-mail/early vote is coming from.

There's just too much uncertainty to say T-Mac has no chance at the moment. This is an election that we won't have a completely clear picture of until tomorrow at the earliest.
