You can't even explain Elliott County voting to shoot down the anti-abortion amendment as just "ancestral Dems voting for party identity going back generations" lol. They didn't vote for a party or candidate, they genuinely and directly voted for socially liberal policy this time!

What a wacky county, I'll always love it!

There's a difference between the Evangelical Southern Baptist Deep South Right, and the Applachian Populist ex New Deal right.

Remember that unlike Alabama, Arkansas; Kentucky only shifted drastically Republican quite recently.

And yet you guys still have a Democratic governor.

NBC called it for Vance. Almost the exact same margin as Trump in 2020.

Now, but looks like with the remaining vote will go down to about Vance+5.

It’s just early vote. It will tighten significantly, but I don’t see him or Finchem winning…

The vast majority of outstanding votes in NC are out of Wake County. Beasley should narrow it, but I think it's safe to call it for Budd.

Good job NC at counting relatively fast.

Decision Desk projects Marcy Kaptur wins reelection.

Red wave cancelled.

Excellent news! Labour populism vindicated.

Ryan is pretty universally outrunning Biden in rural area. The remianing votes are mostly out of the 3 Cs which will narrow it but not by enough.

With inflation and crime the way it was, this should have been an absolute lay-up for the GOP. They will now have effectively lost three in a row (2018, 2020, 2022) -- every single election in the Trump era a failure in some way for them.

There should be an "autopsy" more intense than post-2012 and heads should roll. Starting with Trump's. That is, if the party wants to continue to be nationally viable. Fine with me if they don't!

I dunno if there's a hugely significant difference between these two areas when it comes to abortion policy, though...

Kornacki says Democrats might retain control of the House.

Narrator: That’s when the legend of Kornacki jumped the shark

Will you accept my bet for $100?
Forgot the number…

Is this good …
Under 228 you win
Over 228 I win.

Pay up within 2 weeks (Venmo etc?)

That is a Trump district, no excuse for Republicans to be losing it without even having a terrible candidate.

So I guess Beto's political career is over. He lost two major statewide races and went no where in a presidential primary.

He could pull a John James and carpetbag to a fitting house district

Barnes is underperforming Biden
Johnson over performing Trump.

This isn’t happening folks

Oz was a terrible candidate.  Trumpers didn’t like him nor did moderate R’s.  He appealed to no one.

Also back then Ohio had 18 districts instead of 16
