Don't forget the Marianas - those people live in fear of North Korean missile attacks because of they're part of the United States. They deserve to have a say in American policy as well.

It’s plausible that the Senate is 50-50 for the next four years. Maybe Dems add a state or two at some point though.

If the Democrats somehow win tonight which they won’t but if they did - and don’t add PR and DC that’ll be tantamount to spitting in the face of Democratic supporters.

Still large Republican counties outstanding and we're already having our celebratory jerkoff - quite literally, for some of you. Ah well, better than the usual doomer stuff.

But my heart's been pounding through my chest for the last couple hours and that hasn't stopped regardless of how good things might look now. Not a bad time to take my Xanax.

What voter fraud claims will the GOP make if it’s a split tonight, with one Dem winning and one Rep winning?

Please predict a 50 state Republican landslide in 2024. If you do, the opposite is guaranteed to happen.

Well predictit has flipped now and quite considerably.

Quite a shame. The last thing the country needs is 1 party domination at the federal level, divided government would have been so much better.

What monster will we have in 2024 now.

Don’t worry, it will be a very short-lived trifecta.

Doubt it. It will be 52-50 in the Senate by March and probably (but not definitely) 54-50 by 2022, along with a few more House seats to shore things up.

With the country back to normal and the economy booming, we'll hold the trifecta in 2022.
The Puerto Rico delegation is one Democrat and one Republican.
They may not elect Republicans to Congress when they actually get voting representation. Or they might - it will depend on whether the anti-statehood people, who are mostly Dems, get with the program or throw a fit and sit out, allowing Republicans to win.
Sure but that won't be right away.  And in the meantime I think it is likely their Shadow Senators get the post and they're split.

From Stephanie Saul @ NYT: Kelly Loeffler is only the second woman to serve as a senator from Georgia. The other, Rebecca Latimer Felton, served for one day in 1922.

Latimer was racist too, but extremely so.

And strangely enough, she was a suffragist as well, and was very adamant about it. Human nature certainly is something to reckon with.

It was fairly common in the Progressive Era. The schisms on race within the early feminist movement were something to behold. Charlotte Perkins Gilman was bigly deplorable on race relations too.

Warnock back at 64% win probability after a terrifying dip to 63% that lasted for several minutes.

The disappearance of the working class voter without Trump in the ballot is hilarious. Wonder how Republicans will sell the “working class party” narrative without Trump from now on when they are firmly against popular economic stuff like the $2000 stimulus.

Perdue and Loeffler are also poor candidates to appeal to the working class.

30 minutes after polls close: "We are doomed!"

60 minutes after polls close: "We are gonna win!"

90 minutes after polls close: "We should all settle down"

What's the next blanket take on the schedule?

Depends on when everyone is let out of horny jail.

120 Minutes: "We're all getting free Peaches!"

Interpret that as you will horney people

All of you need to stop saying this. No one is doing it. And yes, there is still R counties out, but the picture is getting more and more clear. At this point, it would be surprising if those counties outstanding buck the trend. Anything can happen, but it's not looking as likely

It looks like Ossoff/Warnock are running 2-3 pts better than Biden in many counties, even rural black ones.

I think Warnock is a good guy, he'll make a good senator. Don't know Ossoff that well, but he can still lose so suppose thats alright. The real question here is, what parts of the Biden agenda get forwarded and does the Republican party continue to embrace Trumpism or run away from it.

Trump belongs in the dustbin, so one can hope that gets fixed. As far as the Dem agenda goes, perhaps some Climate legislation would be good. The rest of the Bernie stuff belongs in the trash with trump and doesnt sell particularly well either.

Assuming we pull this out, will Kamala be the most active VP in the Senate since John Adams or something? She'll have to be there all the time to cast deciding votes.

And perhaps most importantly, the US Virgin Islands, which just happen to be 76% Black. Time for some more diversity in the Senate.

All I'm going to say is that for the last 3 weeks I've been out in Georgia in Gwinnett County working as a canvasser. The ground game here just outmatches the GOP's. Their was real enthusiasm out here on the Dem side and the ground game has been relentless knocking on doors. A voter even told me that, but I feel really good about what's going to be the result tonight. Once the absentee/mail-in ballots are counted. We can see a big win. GOOD. Canvassing is hard work but after all this and we can get a projection for Rev. Warnock & Jon Ossoff. It was worth every single hour and knock to see these results. My gut tells me that the GOP is taking this L and it's much deserved.

Please let this work out. I want the Senate, but I especially want to watch Loeffler lose. Im not religious but I have found her attacks on Warnock’s faith to be just really gross. Plus, she stands for nothing other than rubber stamping Trump’s agenda. She’s just... awful.
