Dems might not have the House under 2010 lines. Their majority hinges on a handful of seats picked up thanks to post-2010 litigation that unwound some gerrymanders.

GOP is about to control redistricting in a bunch of states, so realistically the House goes R in an even environment.

Can we just wait til 2022 before we are Doomers, Biden has been in office a mnth and people are already creating Doomed scenarios again, just like during the Election of 2020.

We are all posters on Atlas, we aren't pundits on TV, no ones word is final until October 2022

A lot depends on what Dems do.  If after promising $2k checks they send $1.4k checks to fewer people than Trump did and fail to bail out renters and homeowners who will be subject to mass evictions/foreclosures later this year, they will have the floor wiped with them, muh college whites won't save them.  Also, the stock market being severely overvalued looms.  I think the assumption the economy will come roaring back isn't a sure thing, there are a lot of issues.  This isn't the Great Recession.

Most people and pundits so far are predicting like it's a neutral or slightly Dem favored midterm. An R+2 year would easily give R's the Senate and House, without much suspense. So maybe they are forgetting but really I don't think they're predicting an R+2 environment if PA and WI are super duper toss-ups.

Trump convinced Republicans that their votes didn't matter.

That's going to have a long lasting effect that doesn't go away overnight.

I would bet it's D+1 at the minimum.
