I have to be honest- I miss the anecdotal turnout reports that were usually wrong.

If it makes you happy, I saw a guy posting on twitter that there had been black people at his polling place, which he obviously saw as a good sign for JBE.

Yeah, but I saw on Twitter that someone saw a rain cloud in Baton Rouge. RIP JBE.

Anecdotally, the weather here was *beautiful* today, so this spells doom for someone, I’m sure. Can’t provide more than that — I voted last week. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It would be something if Edwards managed to garner a majority tonight. I pray that he will not become a victim of the same polarization that denied Democrats a shot at victory in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, and North Dakota last year. Edwards is an excellent fit for his state, and in a depolarized environment, he would be on his way to collecting more than 70% of the vote and winning every parish.

Good weather is even worse than bad weather!!! Even though most people won't bother voting when it's bad weather, if the weather is beautiful everyone will be to busy frolicking in the sunshine to remember there is even an election!!! RIP All candidates!

How quickly does Louisiana count?  When are returns likely to start coming in?

Well, we may not have gotten overreactions to turnout reports, but starting in 20 minutes, we'll get to move on to plenty of "OMG! (Candidate) is at (percentage) in (parish) (with less than 10% in)! (Candidate) is (guaranteed to win/finished)!"

So if JBE actually gets to 50% tonight, does that lead Democrats to continue full steam ahead, or even more, on the impeachment matter?

I doubt the result here, whatever it is, will have any noticeable impact on the impeachment effort.

I sincerely doubt the outcome of this primary, or even the general election if one is held, will effect impeachment proceedings one whit either way.

The Shreveport Times have a good Election Results page.
