Oh, I just love this new ad. Such a nice man. This character assassination attempt will fail like the others.
Yup. These conspiracy theories have me laughing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Biden has a speech impediment.  He can't think as fast as he talks, and it causes him to stutter, stumble, and mix up words and numbers.

Biden is also a natural politician and has a seat-of-the-pants speaking style that makes him seem much more natural and personable; it also means he occasionally starts sentences without knowing how to finish them, and includes minor details that he's not 100% on.

Once you get this, literally every Biden gaffe becomes easily-understandable.

Right now there is a very intense campaign on Twitter and Reddit (by the Sanders campaign) and on Fox News (by supporters of Team Trump) to highlight every Biden gaffe, take it out of context in the most damaging possible way, and use it as evidence that Biden has Alzheimers or some other mental disorder.  It's a cruel campaign whose sole purpose is to humiliate the former VP.

You think Americans will care about this long winded explanation? Anything that takes longer than 2 seconds to explain will go in one ear and out the other.

So then Warren or Bernie "long winded explanations" to the nation that their ideas are not too socialist/communist, will go in "one ear and out the other"?

Bernie is a proud Democratic socialist.

Nobody thinks Warren is a socialist except for cucks like Howard Schultz and Michael Bloomberg but nice try.

This new ad on healthcare is just magnificent. A very strong message. Purple heart

Have you seen his Anderson Cooper interview?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbe3WSVWXeI

They should just play that interview on loop throughout the campaign.  Anyone who thinks Biden is an HP after watching it is a heartless hack.

He's human and has emotions and has a tragic past with heartbreak that he never ever deserved, but that doesn't shield him from criticism or being disliked, so not sure why him going through tragic moments shields him from being disliked.

It doesn't, criticize all day.  I'm specifically talking about those who think Biden is a bad person.

Admittedly this is a more popular sentiment on Twitter than on Atlas.

I think voting and supporting the Iraq War that killed millions of people doesn't really make you a good person. On top of treating Anita Hill the way he did I think he's at least a deeply flawed person.

Just for the sake of accuracy, deaths from the Iraq War:

Post-Saddam Iraqi Soldiers:  17,690
Iraqi policemen:  12,000
American soldiers:  4,496
Contractors:  1,554
Sheikhs/Warlords:  1,002
Other coalition forces:  318

Insurgents:  26,544
Saddam's army:  10,800

Civilian deaths:  110,600 and most of them were killed by insurgents, not by us.

It's not millions of deaths.  It's barely 200,000.

More people have died in the ISIS Civil War over the last five years than died during the entire Iraq invasion and occupation.

Saddam committed genocide against his own people and killed 182,000 Kurds in 1988 followed by 100,000+ civilians in 1991.  In 1984, he needed more space in his jails, so he had every single one of the 4,000 prisoners in Abu Ghraib executed.  And that's not even starting on all the people who were tortured and murdered on a daily basis under his regime, nor the hundreds of thousands who died in the wars he started with Kuwait and Iran.

So it's not like those hundreds of thousands of people who died in the Iraq War wouldn't have died if we didn't invade.  If you chart deaths per year in Iraq, the occupation would be a valley in the graph.

I mean Saddam killed 5,000 of his own people with chemical weapons on March 16, 1988.  That's more deaths in a single day than the number of American soldiers who died in the entire Iraq War and occupation.

Wow... please reflect on this post.

200,000 deaths is still a bad thing (although as I noted, it's probably less than would have been killed if we didn't invade) but exaggerating the number of deaths by several orders of magnitude isn't helpful to any discussion.

I'm not here to justify the Iraq War, I think we should never depose dictators without international approval.  I'm just saying voting for the Iraq War doesn't make you "responsible for millions of deaths."

This figure comes from the Associated Press and only includes deaths directly attributable to war violence. Including excess deaths caused by the war increases that figure dramatically.

My post wasn’t explaining anything. Bernie is a proud Dem socialist, Warren is not considered one by anyone outside of the elitist white beltway bubble but keep going and have egg on your face when Biden looks like an escapee from a retirement home on the debate stage with Trump. I’m sure America will understand that he has a good heart, a speech style that makes him forget what he’s saying mid-though (huh?) and some speech impediment that’s hardly been mentioned before.

Trump, and especially the GOP machine, will do a massive job on painting Warren or Bernie as socialist, if not "full blown Red Lenin Communist" (with hammer and sickle next to there images for added effect). If you don't think this will happen, you are the one who will have "egg on your face."
They will also attack Warren as being too "overly-nice" and not strong enough to take-on other world leaders. People are already comparing her to your everyday, old-lady librarian.

All the candidates have vulnerabilities (including Biden). I just fear that Bernie or Warren will lose many of the moderate and independent voters, and throw the election to the Orange Buffoon.

PS: Any Biden "gaffes" during a debate with trump will be massively offset from the crap and excuses trump will try to make-up for all the sh** this nation has gone through for the last 4 years. trump will not look good in a debate.

I'm not saying Biden is a bad person per say. I'm not sure I feel about him as a person. I do think he would be an awful candidate and president. I just say that is a flawed argument when people say he can't be a bad person because his son died.

A very powerful ad called "Personal" discusses his losses to tie in the significance of the issue of health care:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/27/us/politics/joe-biden-ad-personal.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

Very compelling--already getting a lot of coverage on the political TV shows and sites.

And if Trump’s failures will overshadow Biden’s constant errors, surely they’ll do the same for Warren and Bernie’s issues.

I've decided I will vote for whoever the Green Party candidate is over Biden. This cretin is disgusting, and is completely in league with insurance/pharmaceutical industries. He's also repeating Hillary's strategy of "oh no, they're trying to destroy Obama's legacy". What an absolute slime.
