I do tend to avoid too many of these boring threads this far out, but I see WAY more people complaining about people calling Virginia a competitive state than I do people, ya know, actually calling it a competitive state.  You guys are crusading against the wind.

I can name about 10 people off the top of my head on this website that think Elizabeth awareness would lose Virginia

How convenient to be able to just pull a claim like that out of your ass instead of actually doing it

I’m sorry I don’t have as much sex as you apparently do, Mr. bRTD, so I’m not very good at pulling out things
It has nothing to do with sex to name those 10 people if it's that easy.

When have I said that lol , I literally have VA as likely D which means Trump would have to win nationally by at least 6 or so points to win VA which isnt happening except in an absolute best-case scenario.

My definition of Likely and Safe are just different than yours , if I went by how you define it  I would have VA as Safe D and maybe TX as Lean R as well. You have said on Texas you think Dems really only win if they win by around 7 or so points nationally and I define that as Likely R then.

My bad, make that 9 people Smiley

To be fair you have said several times that Warren would do worse than Hillary everywhere. Thus implying you think Virginia would be very competitive.

I think Warren would win VA by around 5.1-5.2 points , so worse than Hillary but a solid win

Oh no, Republican hacks believe they can win VA! How stupid! It's not like the list of Democratic hacks who think TX will flip/is a tossup is like 3 times that length!

Sadly both pale in comparison to the list of people who think Bevin will lose

Still far more than the number of people that think Texas will flip (one: Solid). And the number of people who think OH is a tossup and Warren will lose Virginia.

I think the fate of a VP nominee depends entirely on the candidate.

If Pence is conciliatory, and nominates someone non-controversial, like Romney, or Charlie Baker, then I think they sail to confirmation.

If he tries to rev up the base, and nominates a firebrand like Sen. Cotton, then I think Pelosi essentially pocket vetos the choice.

I think there are far more controversial Republicans than Cotton, lol. Even in the current Senate, I personally believe he's slightly more moderate than the average Republican Senator, if only because he's damn smart and has served really honorably in the military, which makes him next to impossible to extort, unlike imbeciles like Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell. I think a person like Susan Collins is FAR more dangerous than Cotton will ever be.

You can't make this s**t up

I think we have a moral imperative to topple regimes like those in Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela that stifle their citizens and actively work to prevent them from hearing the truth that is Christ.

I don't know about Cotton's politics, but there's nothing moderate about his persona.

He's a guy who scares me.  He strikes me as America's Leading Warmonger.

For white people, very very bleak and oppressive. White people will be 2nd class citizens clowned on daily de facto, albeit not de jure. Reparations as well redistribution of property.

A series of tapes could come out tomorrow showing Trump with different non-white sex-trafficked women, all engaging with Trump sexually while wearing Hillary Clinton masks and while Trump calls them the worst and most hurtful racial slurs that exist.

When those tapes hits the air, you can comfortably bet your life's savings that 95%+ of Republicans will refuse to harshly criticize Trump "because abortion" and "because socialism".

What Trump did today is despicable and I hope all true Republicans who live and breath Conservative Principles® in safe red states will get together and send a message to the Republican party (which we all know was a totally normal party until Trump came along) by voting third party or writing in the name of an equally corrupt Republican politician who isnt do brazen in public about it

No. 95+percent of republicans and conservatives will accept this, and ALL the many MANY such fu$!ups by Trump as either "Great news (but of course the liberal media...."), or alternatively see it as a completely acceptable price to pay to stop socialism and baby killing.

You posting that in this thread is more absurd and ignorant than the actual post you quoted, it is obvious Trump can get away with almost anything, he has already gotten away with ridiculously awful stuff, and Republicans will continue to disregard their supposedly sacred principles and bend over backwards to defend his obviously indefensible behavior.

The scenario he laid out is absurd and so is this one. Also I thought Trump was racist so why would he be fornicating with non whites.

I’m well aware that the Senate will never remove him (even if he committed genocide), but I’m eager for a forced up down vote just to watch Collins suffer

Well that's not the point lol, you're not supposed to take the scenarios literally but it just emphasizes how Trump won't be held accountable by Republicans.

Since he followed it up, I feel the need to post it:

Opposition to abortion has nothing to do with life, it’s about putting women back in the kitchen.

It is never about that and you know it.

Yes it is. You people just don’t like the fact that women aren’t their husband’s property anymore and have the right to decide whether or not to carry a pregnancy to term.

While we're on the subject, I don't think this was ever posted here:

The Church of Abortion Worship. The "Lord" whom you pay allegiance to is Molech, God of Child Sacrifice. Members of this church consider abortion to be the "holy sacrament", a "blessed thing" which all should praise, and all should embrace. Women who obtain abortions are "one with the Lord" and will obtain admittance to the pearly gates of Heaven. Women who oppose abortion will be cast into the flaming pit of Hell, and be damned for all eternity.

Awful and nonsensical.

We have a double feature:

2020 could be the 1st Fraud vs Fraud election. Everyone knows Warren is a stone cold liar & fraud. She lied about her Native American heritage for years. She lied about how she got fired.

She earlier lied about how her parents fled away to get married. She is pretending to be this non-corrupt person when she has agreed to pake SuperPAC money for the General Election.

2020 could be an election of the most corrupt & pathological liar President vs a Dem Nominee who is also a liar.

I mean, I have very little interest in defending Elizabeth Warren, lol.  I've been watching the Sanders crowd dishonestly attack my candidates for four years.  Now that it's Warren's turn in the barrel y'all can enjoy this lovely experience on your own.

I just think it's hilarious for Shadows to attack Warren for being a fraud on campaign finance reform when his candidate is far and away the #1 fraud on campaign finance reform.  And that includes Trump.

You do realize that people can reasonably base their predictions on factors aside from polling and that polling of certain states (like KY) can be pretty faulty in determining the final result, right?

None of these predictions are at all reasonable. Most are just "MUH Safe R because racist hicks!"

I know you think this race is Titanium R, so these predictions are 100% accurate to you.

I don't think this race is Titanium R (I think Bevin is favored but that he'll underperform in a big way), and I also don't agree with much of the "racist hicks" rhetoric.

The point is that given our lack of polling (and KY's aforementioned polling issues that skew Democratic), it is only logical for people to assume that the race will follow past election results and the state's heavy Republican lean.
