Will Grier (WVU) came into today's game against Kansas with a QB rating of 200.7 and had never thrown an int in the red zone in his 4 years at WVU.  He threw 3 in the first half and actually had to make a nice tackle to prevent one from being returned for a TD.  Doubt the Heisman voters will give him credit for that.  Kansas is still Kansas though and WVU is up 21-7 at the half.

A KU DB has 88 yds in int returns while the KU offense has 78 yds.

Oklahoma has just tied it 45-45 with 2+ minutes left.  If they win this, it will be one of the great comebacks of all time.

#20 Michigan State just lost to Northwestern.

Also, Alabama actually gave up 31 points against Arkansas...which doesn't especially bode well against LSU in three weeks.

Narrator: it wasn't.

That should knock Oklahoma out of the playoff...

One loss to a ranked team does not knock you out of the playoffs.

At the moment, that looks like a pretty good pick.

One loss to a ranked team does not knock you out of the playoffs.

It does when a one loss Big Twelve Champion doesn't get in favor of Notre Dame/a second SEC team.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-college-football-predictions/?ex_cid=rrpromo If you have both Texas/OU and Notre Dame run the table, they are about equal on getting in.

FSU is still in this game halfway through the 4th when I expected the line of 13 to be waaay too pro-FSU. This is playing with house money; I don’t even feel bad about the Miami turnaround.

LSU upset against Florida.

The SEC's best hope of getting two teams in the playoffs lie with Georgia.

In addition, #8 Auburn losing to Mississippi State in the Fourth Quarter.

With this week's games (mostly) in the books, this is what I currently think the four playoff teams will be.

1. Alabama (The Crimson Tide only misses the playoff if they don't win the SEC West, and that winner loses to Georgia, and even then, I'd find it hard for the committee to keep them out).

2. Ohio State (The Buckeyes are near locks in the Big Ten as of right now, but they still have to beat Michigan, and presumably Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game)

3. Notre Dame (The Fighting Irish's win over Virginia Tech gives them another ranked win...and while it would be nice if Florida State were ranked, both Syracuse and USC probably will be, and I believe Notre Dame should win both games, barring injury/suspension of key players)

4. Clemson (I don't the committee will forget almost losing to Syracuse, but Clemson gets in over Georgia, because Clemson is more likely to be a conference Champion than Georgia is)

Me too, worst week by far.  I missed almost all the ones that were tough to decide.  Next week maybe I'll just flip some coins for the tough ones.

I got Florida and LSU right, but screw Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Of course Texas would lose when I pick them and win when I don't.

God bless the American Conference! Cincinnati may be barely top 50, but if the voters want to rank em, we'll just have to thank em. I have UCF at 7, USF at 28ish and Cincinnati much lower for the record. Temple is obviously favoured to stop the Bearcats sadly so probably only one potential ranked win for the Golden Knights.

I don't see good reason to have Washington ahead of UCF either. The other 2 are West Virginia and Texas though at least you can make a case for Texas.

Also, I would be totally prepared to cheer for UCF over Bama. After Nick Saban chastised us? It's ridiculous. They're the ones who took away Dixieland Delight. Why even go to a game anymore? It's ridiculous. Why did they have to change that? I think we need to bring that back.

THe fact that the SEC is being brought down to only two main contenders makes me doubt they can have two teams. With no spoiler like Auburn Alabama and Georgia will play and knock one out.

If both Alabama and Georgia are unbeaten going into the SEC Championship game, it's certainly possible both teams get in.

I don't think Illinois's going to win, but if I were you, I would bet on them to beat the spread.

The real question is, what has Oregon done to deserve to be ranked?

Things are looking up for KU football, I think we can get through this week without a loss.
