Okay, not as awful as I thought(why the "pro-theocracy" thing?), but wanting to murder people because they exposed that US soldiers were committing human rights abuses as awful as gunning down civilians(and giggling about it) that were swept under the rug and unpunished is still absolutely monstrous.

I'm endorsing Cardin HARD. A Manning win would tie her around the necks of every Democrat in the nation, just like Moore would have for the GOP. Also, while her awareness of civil forfeiture as an issue is impressive, her position on destroying ICE is untenable, and she's be a reliable no vote on any compromise bill or any major piece of legislation that isn't pure enough for her. And on top of ALL THAT, she supports BDS, which in and of itself would be a dealbreaker for me.

I understand the appeal she has, and I wish her the best in life, but I really, really hope she doesn't end up anywhere near the Senate.

I don't endorse male candidates, but I strongly agree with the sentiment of this post.

The only detailed reporting is coming from Buzzfeed's tech beat reporters* who were on the scene. They've already been widely criticized for screwing up the sourcing of at least one of the comments (claiming that someone knew Chelsea at the event and positively affirmed that Chelsea was palling around when in fact the source was claiming the opposite).

What we know is that Manning was at the protest, and at some point moved into the event (presumably without invitation) and was able to hold eye-contact with attendees without throwing the Oberlinesqe fit the liberals on this forum seem to demand of her. Buzzfeed has the read of their tech reporters on the social atmosphere within the event, and a quote from one dubious source they appear to have improperly quoted to suggest that Chelsea is friends with anyone at the event. This is like TMZ level of reporting here, folks.


I attended a college republicans' meeting at my university this fall to troll them, and was able to be reasonably polite and sociable while getting the incels to yell at the Rubio-lite club President about Paul Ryan. Much of the club is as right wing as Cernovich/McGinnis (another story for another time, but I'm not exaggerating) but I don't think anyone would think I hold their beliefs because I attended the meeting and wasn't forcibly removed.
