This is a Democratic landslide? Polarization has really gotten severe on the county level.

Here is the results of the 2016 congressional election by county. these are the results in each district so you can see how part of a county voted in one district as apposed to how it voted in another district.  I used atlas colors here. Green is for independents and yellow/orange are for open primaries or runoffs.

I'm curious, how did you obtain the data for the "county results" in each district?

I mainly got the data from Ourcampaigns.com tho for Kansas, I used the election results on the nytimes website and the websites for counties.

MS 1959 gubernatorial primary

Ross R. Barnett: 35.26%
Carroll Gartin: 34.25%
Charles L. Sullivan: 29.88%
Robert F. Mason: 0.61%

MS 1959 gubernatorial runoff

Ross R. Barnett: 54.34
Carrol Gartin: 45.66%

I find these old democrat primaries in the solid south to be interesting. Im probably gonna make some more maps of this variety.

Here is a large landslide loosely based on the 1992 election with elements from other elections to make it look better.

What is the Electoral map?

12 Point swing in the 2016 2-Party vote.

Closest Clinton win is Sarasota, FL.

Closest Trump win is Somerset, MD.

Here's another map that I created. Using characters (Rutherford and Leach) from an earlier scenario, I devised a map that is basically a revised version of 1964. It is a Democratic landslide, with Rutherford winning ~62-37% or so. Which states would you guess are decided by single digit margins? What would the vote by demographic look like? What would the respective party coalitions look like?

Metalhead, how'd you change the colors of county lines? I have a hard time isolating them on photo editing software in order to change them.

I took the county map that was the same size as the congressional map and I colored all of the county lines grey. then I erased all everything in the congressional map except for the lines for the districts, and I placed it on top of the county map.
