Could you maybe do 2016 with 1972 margins as well?

Ill consider it. Are you ever going to post that map you made on an image posting site that works? Just wondering

I forgot to save the last map on my PC, so I can't re-upload it unfortunately.
My requests are probably getting annoying, but 2016 with 1964 margins or vice versa would also be really interesting too.

I actually already made a county map for this. The Democrat wins Hawaii, California, Maryland, DC, Massachusetts, and Vermont:

In addition, here's one for 1936:

I think an interesting one would be 2000. I'll see if I can put that together.

Yeah those are very neat maps, but I personally like seeing the county margins.

I was actually swapping the margins by state but this is cool too.

Ohio if Democrat and Republican primary ballots were counted
Red = Kasich
Orange = Trump
Blue = Clinton
Green = Sanders
Whats really interesting is overall Clinton is in third place

What a shock that Clinton somehow won the Monroe County primary, only for the County to swing heavily to Trump in the general.

This is a map of demographics by county.

Red = White
Blue = Black
Green = Hispanic/Latino
Yellow = Native Americans
Orange = Asian.

http://www.justicemap.org/index.php This is the map I used to make this.

It's amazing that there are majority-Hispanic counties in Texas that gave Trump 80-90% of the vote. is this due to Hispanics not turning out, Texas Hispanics being much more GOP than Hispanics in other states, or maybe some combo of the two?

Yea, I'm making state-by-state county maps that will be posted once the election timeline has been called (though they won't be strung together like this, since that would be a major pain to do for all 50 states and the file size would be too big).

So what, you'll be posting the state county results individually with like a little write-up?

I wasn't originally planning on a writeup, but that actually sounds like a pretty good idea.

I think that would make it much more interesting, kind of like wikipedia pages where they make notes of certain things (how much a county swung compared to the previous election, which counties voted one way for the first time since (whatever date), etc.

Percentage of white people

Percentage of black people

Percentage of hispanics/latinos

Percentage of asian people

Percentage of native americans

Percentage of multiracial people

I also did a map for Islanders but I'm not posting it because literally all but two counties were under 10%. Soon I will have a make that is a total of people who aren't white.

What's up with the multiracial map?
Also, will you be doing election maps again soon?

I had an interesting idea. What if you shifted the South in 1928 so that Hoover won Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, and Louisiana, without shifting the results for the rest of the country? This would be very interesting because we don't really know what it would have looked like if the Solid South had voted Republican back then. You could shift MS and SC but that would obviously require massive swings since Smith still won both by absurdly huge margins.

This is pure fantasy. McCaskill will be lucky if she wins at all, let alone by 14%.
