If McCaskill was winning that many Counties, she would be winning overall by a more than narrow margin.

2000 Election if McCain was the GOP nomination instead of Bush. Gore wins very narrowly and performs better in St Louis and Clay County.

It's similar to the map of 2000 in Missouri but Gore also wins St. Charlie, Iron, Plattes and Bush wins very narrowly wins Ray County
