Texas is not the deep south lol dems get something like 25-30% of the white vote at the very least typically (I might be underdoing that)

I know the whole tweet's bad, but I'm really irked by how much of a reach that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon reference is. He just wanted to throw that in there, and it's so low-effort and pandering. So it fits him perfectly is what I'm saying:

It's such a forced attempt at having a sense of humor.

Stupid Cruz’s problem is shutting down the government.  GOP businessman just hate that.  He needs to promise no more shutdowns. .

The Cruz-Patrick takeover of the TXGOP I imagine has not pleased the more old school business wing of the party

Awesome article and the Robert Earl Keen (Texan Music Legend) reference towards the end who performed at one of Beto's rallies appears to demonstrate a Texas homegrown authenticity that Cruz lacks.

Here's another good one from just four days ago, and Texas Monthly probably has almost as wide a circulation in Texas as Buzzfeed, but a much different audience....

Senator Cruz is a titan of the Constitution and I am confident that in the end he will bring it home. He is not taking this challenge lightly. He is meeting it head-on and when all is said and done, he will close out O'Rourke.

I have believed from the beginning that Cruz will win reelection, but the recent spate of polls have convinced me that this race will be a little bit closer then I initially thought. Cruz, I think, will hold on by ~3-6 points or so. I expect Abbott to win by ~10-20 points, and he will pull Cruz ahead of the finish line.
