Ohio State-Michigan game canceled.

This leaves the Buckeyes one game short of the minimum six required to play in the Big Ten championship game, although it's possible the conference could revisit that rule this week.  If they don't play, the title game will be Indiana vs. Northwestern.

Indiana-Purdue is off.  And as expected, the Big Ten changed the rules to allow Ohio State into the championship game.

In the Department of Empty Gestures:

The NCAA needs to use the Death Penalty more often, quite frankly.

Baylor needs the Death Penalty, and UNC needs to have its basketball banners taken.

Penn State should have been given the death penalty. And never had their garbage program resurrected.

Yes, that too. Everyone knows Pitt is the true representative of Pennsylvania.

You mean it's not Temple?

Could the SEC be suspending play altogether (which might not just include football, but basketball and other winter/spring sports as well)?
No. The SEC will stop playing sports when hell freezes over. The announcement is about their new TV deal with the worldwide leader, which will make them ~$300 million a year.
And when hell freezes over, they'll just take up ice hockey.

I'm not a hockey fan (just never got into it) but the idea of, say, Alabama and Auburn playing in hockey is hilarious.

WEEK 15 RESULTS

Six games were canceled.  I won the week at 16-3, with three people a game behind.  Full results:

16 GeorgiaModerate
15 Dereich, Donerail, ExtremeRepublican
14 dfw
13 Dingo Joe, Illiniwek
11 NY Express

There were seven unanimous picks, all correct:

Arizona State-Arizona
Georgia-Missouri
Northwestern-Illinois
Coastal Carolina-Troy
App State-Georgia Southern
Virginia Tech-Virginia
BYU-San Diego State

And five games with a single dissenter (the dissenter was wrong in all of them):

Toledo-Central Michigan
Army-Navy
Penn State-Michigan State
Florida State-Duke
USC-UCLA

Overall it remains a tight race; dfw and Donerail are tied for the lead, but three others are within 5 games of the top.  Year to date standings:

206 dfw, Donerail
204 Dereich
202 GeorgiaModerate
201 ExtremeRepublican
178 NY Express
174 Jgibson
172 DINGO Joe

Malzahn is almost certainly going to end up as a head coach somewhere else (maybe Arizona or Illinois?)

I wonder if they could lure Tommy Tuberville out of the Senate to take the job?
dream on.

Tell him the SEC is one of the three branches of government.

Oregon replaces Washington in the Pac-12 title game.  How do we want to handle this in the pick'em?  My suggestion is to replace the current title game with it (Dereich and NY Express will need to re-pick).  Colorado-Oregon is removed from the list, obviously.

I'm just now entering picks (it's been a busy week) and have a couple of questions:

Was this game ever on the list?  Nobody else has it.

No pick.

I have always dreamed about championship weekend pairings across divisions for entire conferences. Shame COVID is killing it but I hope the Big Ten and others keep this under consideration going forward. An even better reward than most bowl games.

Everyone deserves to have a "Best 7th place game I've ever been a part of"

There's no doubt that Nebraska-Rutgers is the game the nation's been waiting for.

I'm picking Rutgers and Penn St. for now.  Maybe do the rest later.

The Nebraska-Rutgers game isn't actually in the list, although you weren't the only one to pick it. Wink

Ohio State-Northwestern has been a sloppy but really entertaining game so far.

Meanwhile, the Big 12 championship is coming down to the wire!  Oklahoma leads 27-21 with a minute left, but Iowa State has the ball and is driving.

Tennessee is out of the liberty bowl, they should let Army take their place.

Looks like that's going to happen.
