The NCAA needs to use the Death Penalty more often, quite frankly.

Baylor needs the Death Penalty, and UNC needs to have its basketball banners taken.

Utah @ Colorado has been moved from Friday Night to the Big Noon kickoff on Fox. If Colorado wins and USC loses, Colorado will be the Pac 12 South champion and thus will be in the Pac 12 championship game next week.

It's downright criminal if Colorado and USC both finish undefeated and the Pac-12 doesn't allow them to play each other in the P12CG.

Penn State should have been given the death penalty. And never had their garbage program resurrected.

Yes, that too. Everyone knows Pitt is the true representative of Pennsylvania.

That's not far off. Pittsburgh is arguably the cradle of football in the United States, and when Pitt was at the height of its greatness, Penn State was a glorified community college teaching people from the northeast who couldn't get into Rutgers or Syracuse about milking cows. It took a morally bankrupt head coach to pull them upward. They found football success but kept the cult like nature of being the dominant activity in an isolated community which allowed a pedophile like Sandusky to flourish.

Unfortunately a lot of Pitt's failings in the last few decades, both in terms of athletics and academics, are "own goals" to go along with the decline of Pittsburgh in general. Pitt is not what it once was and Penn State has benefitted.

Could the SEC be suspending play altogether (which might not just include football, but basketball and other winter/spring sports as well)?

No. The SEC will stop playing sports when hell freezes over. The announcement is about their new TV deal with the worldwide leader, which will make them ~$300 million a year.

And when hell freezes over, they'll just take up ice hockey.

I'm not a hockey fan (just never got into it) but the idea of, say, Alabama and Auburn playing in hockey is hilarious.

They have club teams. I believe all SEC schools do.

It was really sad when UAH announced they were shutting down their program. Fortunately, they managed to raise 500k(!) in 4 days from the community to keep the program alive.
