Also giving pronunciation lessons: DeKalb (second syllable like taxi cab) County; House-ton County; Al-Bane-y.

I found out from watching CNN that DeKalb and Gwinnett are actually pronounced duh-KAB and gwin-ETT, not duh-KAHLB and GWIN-it. Good thing no one on Atlas could hear me mentally mispronouncing DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Albany counties! I already knew about House-ton from someone on Atlas though.

Great! Now try Dacula, Dahlonega, Lithonia, and Martinez.

If you're Trump, try Yosemite.

wtf...university regents in Michigan are elected statewide!?

I don't want to hear anyone from Michigan ever give Mississippi a haranguing that we still elect county coroners, lol

The joke in U.S politics is that even dog catchers are elected, but it is true that at least the sanitation commission is often an elected position. (Do not vote for Homer Simpson as sanitation commissioner.)

That the ballot is so long is one reason why mail in ballots make so much sense.  People can consider their vote for every office now.  Not saying they will, but it's much easier to do so having the ballot with you on your kitchen table.

Hawaii has not yet.

After the deadline "tomorrow", it says here:

https://elections.hawaii.gov/resources/registration-voter-turnout-statistics/

Not 100% sure.  This is the 'final summary report' with the 'deadline to file election objections' on Monday.

https://elections.hawaii.gov/wp-content/results/histatewide.pdf

You are probably correct, but I think that is the final result unless there are any objections.

Indiana has posted official results.  I don't know if they're any different than the previous results, but they have changed their website to say 'these results are final.'

I presume this certification does not include New York-22nd House race.

Weirdly enough NY certified even though a number of counties haven't actually certified their results yet

https://www.elections.ny.gov/2020ElectionResults.html

NY tends to "certify" their statewide result and then amends the vote totals months later ...

See 2012:

Quote
*Certified December 31, 2012 (Certification amended April 9, 2013 and July 29, 2013)*

https://www.elections.ny.gov/2012ElectionResults.html

NY Board of Elections needs to be nuked.

That's crazy.  Why is New York so bad?

Being in Canada, these are the states that still don't report certified results for me on the official websites:

1.California
2.Colorado ( certified but 300 votes still to be processed due to a Covid outbreak)
3.Connecticut
4.Idaho
5.Maryland
6.Minnesota (not sure if their published results are certified or not)
7.Missouri
8.Nebraska
9.Nevada
10.New Jersey
11.Pennsylvania
12.Washington (not sure if their published results are certified or not.)

New York's certified results are incomplete (which is mind numbingly incompetent.)

IL election results will be certified at a board meeting in 2 hours (10:30am).

Illinois has already posted the certified results.

Nebraska is also certifying today.

Interesting, so were Arkansas and New York (apparently especially New York City.) The most obvious thing these 3 states have in common is they're all home states of Hillary Clinton.  I don't know if that had any impact in the 2016 election, though, of course.

Gamblers who don't know what they are talking about except for their prospect of a longshot win. Optimistic fools. I would be selling.

If you want to look into it, a similar thing happened on the Canadian Toronto Stock Exchange almost 25 years ago now with a company called Bre-X.

They claimed to have found a large gold mining claim, but it turned out they salted the assay.  When the news of the fraud came out, the company collapsed but the stock still traded at about $0.85 share or something as some people believed the news was 'fake' and the gold strike was real.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bre-X

Interestingly, I owned shares in a similarly fraudulent company called Brie-X that falsely claimed to have made a large cheese mining strike. Smiley

'Borrowed' a VPN.  Got the Connecticut and Nevada official results.  Pennsylvania is a hybrid of saying the results are certified along with saying the results are 'unofficial' because they don't include the ballots received after election day.

I had thought that the Idaho website was redirecting me, but, in fact, their website is still saying 'unofficial results' as is California.

I figured out Washington State, the results on their website are official and certified.

This still leaves the following states without official or certified results on their website:
1.California
2.Colorado (due to the Covid outbreak)
3.Idaho
4.Minnesota
5.Missouri
6.New Jersey
7.New York (bunch of jerks)
8.Pennsylvania

so basically everyone has certified and Trump's pathetic attempts to overturn this should no longer be given news coverage...

The U.S Supreme Court still hasn't weighed in yet, one way or the other.

I hate to break this to you, but by not expediting any of the appeals to them yet, they HAVE spoken.

Hrm, I hadn't thought of it that way.  Thanks.

California is being entertaining.

Click on here: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/election-2020
It says 'official results'

click on that, it's says 'unofficial results.'

And Alex Padilla wants to be a U.S Senator?

From what I understand, CA has just certified already that Biden will receive their 55 EV for President, but will only certify the full election results in the coming days.

Be that as it may, I would not hire Alex Padilla to be my latex salesman.
