I’m most worried about what happens if Melania dies but Trump doesn’t.  In that case, I think there might be a pretty big sympathy vote.

Usually you don't experience symptoms until a week after exposure.

If Trump has only had it for 48 hours or so, and he's already experiencing symptoms, then it's probably gonna be bad.

We need some Biden test results ASAP.  I'm hopeful, because Pence doesn't have it.  But Biden was up there 6-12 feet away from Trump with Trump screaming and spitting in an enclosed space all night long.

That said, from a few of the camera angles of the set it looks like there was a pretty high ceiling above them -- they did in the atrium of a building that went up 4 or 5 stories.  Maybe there was sufficient ventilation to save Biden.

Imagine how awful it would be if Biden died from having been infected with covid by Trump, who survived.

That would actually be great.
Kamala would surge in the polls from a sympathy bump.

He has expressed his hopes for Trump to recover, and that’s good, it is necessary, but now he needs to go back to the message.
He needs to suggest to the American people that this could have been prevented, and that the current administration should not have ignored this threat as it killed hundreds of thousands. If Biden can successfully connect the two (easier said than done) I do think he can balance out any sympathy effect.

If the story spreads, this will erode the sympathy boost Trump would have received. Sympathy dwindles when you put the other candidate at risk.

The bulk of my sympathy is directed at Barron right now, because losing a parent when you're a teenager would be devastating. Even a seriously ill parent can be stressful.

Yeah this. Whereas trump is a horrible person and his wife and adult children are enablers, if not truly terrible people, as well, Barron didn't sign up for this and potentially losing a parent is a brutal thing to have to face. My sympathy for this situation begins and ends with him.

No joke, this could rip through the Judiciary Committee at the most inconvenient time imaginable for the GOP.

The current GOP senators that got infected are only quarantining for 10 days instead of the 14, because ACB's hearings begin in 10 days.

They are almost certainly going to pull out every stop to ensure that the Judiciary Senators quarantine for as little time as possible

That's going to be very difficult if any of them end up in serious condition, which is highly likely given the age of the average Senator.
