Lmao

We already know he's going to do this. I truly hope Biden wins the remaining states so the Electoral Map looks even better and Biden can hit at least 4 million more votes in the popular vote. Best part of this, is the fact the GOP are losing the popular vote and claiming voter fraud and the election being stolen. I know we're stuck with the Electoral College but eventually I would love to see it gone.

I held onto modest approval for it even after 16.

Screw that. Now I want it gone.

There is already a state by state “keep the majority from running over the minority” check and that’s the senate

Bingo! I totally agree with you on that. It's been my argument with others at work who lean GOP. It's like everyone gets 2 Senators, that's your check. The person with the most votes in the country should win the election and it would make candidates campaign everywhere. It would also get more people to vote I think since they know the vote will count. In California, we already know who's voting for President, so you can actually sit out if you like.

Ducey keeping it professional, I'll give him respect for that. I'm sure he has bigger ambitions and could probably challenge Kelly in 2022 but I doubt he makes that move. Maybe runs for President in 2024.

Biden wins by less than 5k votes. Though at this point, I would take anything Nate Silver says with a grain of salt. Dude has totally shot his credibility.

If Nate's napkin math is correct, then Biden barely wins, probably. Doesn't make me comfortable, though

Lol I love it. Napkin math, can we make this a meme?

Why haven't they called Alaska? I mean, I'm pretty sure we all know that's going to Trump.

Alaska won't be counting its ballots for another week. We won't know anything definitive there for a while.

Good to know. Thanks.

Probably a stupid question but asking it because I haven't been able to pay as much attention today as I'd wanted to: when will we likely see the Presidency called? Sometime today? Tomorrow? Friday? December?

What's the likely timetable from here on out, & how will potential court cases & recounts factor into said timetable?

The lame duck session is going to be fun. lol
WI - Just called
MI - Posting "unofficial results" tonight
GA - Possibly tonight/early tomorrow.
NV - Tomorrow
NC - Likely tomorrow. maybe Friday.
PA - Who knows, but Biden will have probably won by then.

By Thursday night, we'll have a President.

Most of what's out in NV is Clark mail, it's not flipping. Is AZ over, though? I thought it had already been called.

I can see Trump supporters holding out hope and they should until every vote is counted. I was on the other side last night hoping that it'll go to Biden. I will say this, the Electoral College is outdated. If Trump was to win, that would be two times without the Popular Vote, it means the system needs to be changed.

I would argue it is legitimately outright unacceptable for PA to be at 64% reporting today at 2:24 PM.

Ridiculous.

They have 3 extra days to get ballots. Not ridiculous at all, it sucks that it's this close but I would rather they count it correctly and get every ballot counted that made the deadline even if that means Trump wins the state.

There was nothing inappropriate about my post that was deleted in this thread.

If you think the next four years is going to be all rainbows and kittens and kumbayas, you are incredibly naive.

You just watch. These armed confrontations between BLM and the redhats are just the beginning, and all I can say about that is I thank the Lord I don't live in D.C. or any other major city. Because it's going to become very ugly, and very bloody.

Depends how the media would cover such conflicts. At the end of the day, we're going to have to focus back on COVID-19 and getting money into people's hands and getting jobs back. Don't let these fringe people dominate the narrative, Far-Left & Far-Right goons do this as some cosplay therapy while you also have opportunists that could care less about what those two factions are fighting about as long as they can loot which then comes to a class issue and wage disparities in this country. It's a big problem that needs to be addressed eventually.

Should we be worried about NV? What’s going on there?

AZ seems more concerning than NV at this point, the remaining vote sounds very Trump favorable.

It would have to be overwhelmingly R though to turn Biden's 100K lead though

I can see Arizona and Nevada going to Biden with less than 5k of the vote. So when people say voting doesn't matter, they don't know what they are talking about.

(NYT):  Trump's campaign is requesting a recount in WI --

Quote
Trump’s campaign manager says he’ll request a recount in Wisconsin, though it may be up to two weeks before one can begin. In 2016 a statewide recount increased Trump’s margin by 131 votes.

That's his right. It's not going to change anything.

Huge chunk of the outstanding vote in AZ,MI,NV is heavily democratic.

Don’t know why people are saying Trump will win those states.

Doomers.

Quote from: Revelation 18:21-24
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

No disrespect to your beliefs, but I'm not religious.

What interest does Mitch McConnell have in getting money into people's hands and getting jobs back?

None.

He would rather that the economy be bad so that Biden can be blamed for it, which should then give the GOP a chance to take back the House in 2022 and then win a Trifecta in 2024.

So there is no sense in focusing on that. Focus on the actual issues, which are entirely procedural, not substantive.

That can backfire on him spectacularly and he'll have to listen to his other Senators. They don't have to vote for him to be Majority Leader. Also, the Senate is not lost from the Democrats, yet.

LOL, not happening. Media loves this narrative of Big Fight.. and that's it.

I sadly agree with you on that. I already know how Ingram, Tucker & Hannity are going to be spewing crap every night on Fox News, same goes for MSNBC's block of Reid, Hayes & Maddow. Cuomo & Lemon on CNN are super partisan.

What I’m hoping for:

-Joe Biden wins the EC
-Peters maintains his senate seat
-Perdue is pushed below 50%

Is this too much to ask?

I don't think so.

I know it will change, but I love the irony that Biden is currently doing worse than Hillary in terms of the popular vote and yet appears to be on his way to victory.

More importantly, though, it probably means a lot of the outstanding vote is going to Biden generally, not just in the swing states.

What are you talking about?  Biden is outperforming Hillary in the NPV.

Barely, and it's unclear he will get the gigantic CA late ballot boost that Clinton got because CA is currently tightening with each update.  Trump's coalition is much less efficient this time.  Would be wild if Biden wins PA or AZ by more than 2.

With "every update"? CA has barely counted any significant votes since last night

Once we have 100% of the votes counted in the country, Biden should have a 4 to 5 million vote lead in the Popular Vote.

Michigan looking safe for Biden, which leaves three paths to the presidency:

AZ+NV

or

GA+NV

or

PA

(just GA would be a cursed 269-269 tie)

The PA path has been looking pretty strong thus far, Biden needed to win these early returns 3-1 or so and he's been winning them 5-1 or 6-1.

AZ+NV really just depends on who you believe.  We're getting totally conflicting reports out of Arizona.  Most folks seem to think Nevada is going to end up going for Biden.

Next big news out of Georgia is 6 PM EST, and out of Arizona is 9 PM EST.  Biden doesn't need GA or AZ, but we'd all sure feel a heck of a lot more comfortable if he gets some good news.

Michigan called by CNN. He should get Arizona & Nevada. I hope he gets the final 3 states of PA, NC & GA. Watch the meltdown of the Doomers tonight.

Meanwhile AP still hasn't given Biden Michigan.

Chances are Trump will only win NC and possibly GA out of everything left.

I'm hoping for a North Carolina win for Biden & Cunningham, even if its less than 500 votes.
