Trump campaign did not alert Biden campaign of possible exposure

Neither the Trump campaign nor the White House contacted the Biden campaign to alert them of possible exposure, according to a senior campaign official who was with Biden at the debate.

The official adds that they do not believe they have much risk because "we were never near them."

Some staffers, he said, were pulled from Marine One, raising further questions about why the trip proceeded, the President coming into contact with numerous supporters at his Bedminster club.

"I’m not going to get into the tick tock. I can tell you, in terms of Hope Hicks, we discovered that right as the Marine One was taking off yesterday," Meadows said. "We actually pulled some of the people that have been traveling and in close contact. The reason why it was reported out, just frankly, is that we had already started to contact tracing just prior to that event,” he said.

I don’t think we know just “how bad” it really is because we don’t have all the information. The signs don’t look good but without full context, we’re mostly just assuming.

Of course, this administration has lied about so much that it could very well be worse than they’re saying.

I don't even think we need a particularly untrustworthy administration to doubt the official story. Remember how Boris Johnson had a very mild case right up until he was in a medically induced coma and they couldn't hide it anymore? (Maybe the British Tories aren't the paragon of honest politicians, but they're around average.) I think probably a Clinton administration, or a Biden administration, would try to downplay the severity at first as well. Just a matter of controlling the messaging.

So in just one day, we've had two more Senators (Lee and Tillis), that have been diagnosed with the virus. I predicted earlier that we could be seeing a wave of such diagnoses among prominent political figures. And it seems like I've been proven correct.

Three journalists who work at the White House tested positive on Friday, according to a series of memos from the White House Correspondents Association.

"Given these positive cases, the president's diagnosis and positive cases among other members of the White House staff, a number of White House journalists are self-isolating pending diagnostic testing," the correspondents association said in a email to members Friday night.

A White House staffer who sits in the "lower press" area of the West Wing also received a confirmed positive result on Friday morning.

Attorney General Barr chooses not to quarantine despite possible exposure to Covid-19

(CNN) - Attorney General William Barr is choosing not to quarantine after recently coming in close contact with members of President Donald Trump's inner circle who have tested positive for Covid-19, including former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

Conway is among at least seven people who have contracted the virus after attending a Rose Garden event last Saturday where Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Barr, who was seen leaving the White House Friday night by photojournalists, also attended the nomination event, where he sat in the front row and was among those tested by the White House for Covid-19.

Following Trump's announcement, Barr and Conway chatted in close proximity, hardly standing the recommended six feet apart, for an extended period of time. Both were seen not wearing masks. Barr also shook hands with other guests, touched his face and mingled among the crowd.

Barr then traveled to Oklahoma for a tribal justice event this week and returned to Washington.

This is a good observation.  Maybe being the "party of individual liberty" makes you opposed to collective solutions.  And if a problem is too big to be solved without collective actions, it therefore should be ignored?

By the same reasoning, Ronald Reagan would have never received any sympathy after his shooting, as he supported the 2nd Amendment. Yet his approval rating shot up, including among liberals. Nobody said, “It’s Reagan’s own fault for not taking away all the guns!!”
