Is it fair to say Hawley and Cruz are screwed as far as 2024?

Never say never, but I do think based on anecdotes that this has seriously damaged their reputations among a general electorate.

I despised Cruz from long before this, and I am certainly not even entertaining the thought of voting for Hawley now. At this point, I may vote for Kamala Harris (who I still dislike) against any plausible Republican nominee in 2024. I certainly would vote for Biden again if he runs for reelection.

If any person at this point thinks about voting for any Republican at any level who is not absolutely aggressively working to extricate the poison of trumpism from not only the GOP but from America itself, any good person should not remotely consider voting for that candidate.

Sorry Republicans and conservatives, but if the choice now comes down to Bernie Sanders or AOC versus a republican doesn't do more than say well, mistakes were made, you either vote for that far is liberal, writing Ronald Reagan, or you and unamerican and unpatriotic scoundrel.

The very future of our country is a democracy is at stake, and right now the Republican party needs literally about 80 to 90% burned out branch and root to change that. Suck it up, or never fly the flag on your front porch for stand for the national anthem again, because doing so is nothing more than hypocrisies

If Romney acted a little more like this and less like a Thatcherite Robot in 2012 he might have had a better chance.

Spoiler alert--not an act

Chief of Staff to the First Lady has resigned:

Meh. I read her statement and it was all flowery about how honoured she was to work with Melania and all the good she did and all the accomplishments of this Administration. This was by no means the resignation out of moral disgust. She just couldn't take the heat in the kitchen anymore.

I'm not sure if you're addressing this towards me, or towards the "blue" avatars on here. I've been asked before whether or not if I'd vote for Harris if someone like Tom Cotton were the Republican nominee, and I said, yes, I'd vote for her. I've actually expanded upon my willingness to vote for her today if necessary. That doesn't mean that I have to like her.
