IMPEACH AND REMOVE NOW.  NOT TOMORROW, NOW.  House can get it done while Senate gives Biden the win.

I hope everyone who said they’d object and is now withdrawing doesn’t get to get away with this.

Red avatars: “I never thought I would stand side by side with a Libertarian.”

Yellow avatars: “How about side by side with a fellow American, standing for freedom?”

Red avatars: “Aye.”

Running list. This has flipped:

Goldwater
John Dule
Cranehusband
Thunder 98
HillGoose
Damocles

Great job uniting America, Republicans.

The red avatar is objectively aesthetically hideous, but we are all Democrats today.

I was watching FOX News all day, and they were being fair and somewhat critical of Trump.  I actually feel that they are the least biased of the Big 3 cable networks during the daytime. But, then, primetime comes and Tucker Carlson comes on...

Start voting for Democrats.  That’s your only option.

Are we all gonna just change our avatar or our actual party registration lmao

I can wear a Dem avatar, but I'm ineligible to join.
I'll probably end up donating to Starmer's campaign here in 2024, if that counts.

Have we ever had an acting President before?
Bush, Sr. and Cheney both served as acting president (Cheney twice) for less than a day while POTUS was under anesthesia and undergoing surgery —but that was planned. Prior to the 25th Amendment being passed, there were instances where the president was incapacitated and the VP or a member of the cabinet became de facto "acting president." We've never had a situation where the VP and the president were each claiming to be the head of state, which seems likely if the Cabinet actually goes through with this.

H.W. and Cheney both served as acting President, but under Section 3, not Section 4.

One could make a case for Edith Wilson, though obviously that was in a *highly* unofficial capacity.

Whereas Bennet did an excellent job catching the emotion of the moment, Kaine was terrible. Why was he smiling? Why was he acting like this is a big joke? Every other person on this floor-- even LOEFFLER-- took this seriously.

The woman has been identified as Ashley Babbitt of San Diego, a fourteen-year veteran of the Air Force.

A meaningless, tragic end to a life of service.

Y'all realize that Trump will just dismiss his whole Cabinet before they're able to invoke, right?

AHAHAHHAHAHAHA Loeffler is no longer objecting.

AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

You can't make this up

What a loser

Instead of going to GA to help Loeffler, Trump went down and made her support his ridiculous crusade.  He's a factor in her loss.  She's probably pissed.

Nobody to blame but herself.  She probably thought being Senator would be fun.

While I applaud the cabinet if they actually do it, I believe Trump can quickly fight it and restore his presidency. Impeachment is the only way, but this way at least lets Republican senators test the waters before comitting.

A fitting end for a stupid idiot.

I hope you're referring to Trump...

If he did that, then I think Congress would move to impeach him immediately. I think McConnell and many other establishment Republicans are done with Trump after today.

If we were to renominate Trump or something like that, I would probably go Independent.  But, I am still quite conservative and, for now, view it best to try to be one more Republican voice looking to move past Trumpism.
