Oh he detests O'Donnell because he attacked him hard long before the rest of the media did.

Sounds like the prosecution is making a good case for election interference.

I’m not following the day-to-day testimony super closely, but from what I can tell, the prosecution hasn’t really presented any evidence that any of this is actually illegal.

But it is illegal and they can explain why to the jury in closing arguments.

Of course, the gag order doesn't at all preclude him from testifying, but I have no doubt his base will believe this completely.

The prosecution is still making the case that he knowingly & willfully was a part of the conspiracy that involved making illegal campaign contributions & false statements to the government, they're still at the outset of establishing the totality of the conspiracy & we haven't even gotten to any testimony on FECA let alone Weisselberg's deliberate "grossing up" of Cohen's reimbursement in order to make him whole by declaring false income on his tax returns.

Not only does it not preclude him from testifying but he's going to have to tell the judge he knows it's his right to testify if he wants to and he's opting not to testify. He can say whatever he wants on the stand as long as it is truthful and relevant to his defense, the gag order does not supersede that.

Sleepy Don breaks his silence on sleeping through his trial.

As multiple Atlas posters have proven repeatedly, his base is largely made up of abjectly gullible morons with an undeserved persecution complex.

That has to be a joke. Tell me even that narcissistic POS didn't refer to his own eyes as his "beautiful blue eyes".

Might be his idea of a joke but it's a real Truth.

The judge should definitely have already put Trump in jail.  It's pathetic to tell him he could end up there if he keeps violating gag orders when--by the judge's own reckoning--he's already done so NINE TIMES.  A threat only works if the recipient 1.) thinks there's a least a strong possibility it'll actually be carried out, and 2.) finds that prospect disagreeable enough to give the person threatening them what they want.  By not jailing Trump at this point, the judge is just sending the message that he doesn't have the balls to do so.

It's pitiful that Trump needs to be talked to like he's an infant. Merchan must have some secondhand embarrassment doing so.

Any idea on the time frame of this trial? When is it expected to conclude? Will there be additional delay tactics?

Not sure what you mean by delay tactics, but I think the ballpark estimate was 6-8 weeks -- so we likely have at least two more weeks minimum.

By delay tactics, I mean filing frivolous motions, calling unnecessary witnesses, firing lawyers, etc. Anything to either prolong the trial or cause a mistrial

Got it.  Yeah I think six to eight weeks total was the ballpark estimate, but who knows?

I still don't believe this case ultimately ends up before the jury. Either Team Trump finds something that ties the judges hands and forces a mistrial or there's a plea down to misdemeanors.

And I believe that one day I'll end up marrying Sofia Vergara.

I will never truly forgive 46% of the electorate for voting for him a month after “when you’re a star they let you do it, grab them by the pussy”.
