Louisville and UCF tied at 28 early in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, Maryland/Illinois looks like it'll be a snoozer.

What a game going on between UCF and Louisville.

Tied up at 35 with under a minute and a half remaining.

Meanwhile, Maryland/Illinois is boring, tied at 3 at halftime.

A real pitchers’ duel. Wink

Louisville just sealed the upset over UCF on an interception return for a touchdown by Jalen Alderman.

And with his coaching job against UCF tonight, Scott Satterfield might have earned himself an interview with USC.

That was the rumor (basically confirmed to have happened) last season. But since they just hired him this offseason, I don't see USC moving on from Beamer, even if they're going to be one of the worst teams in the SEC this season.

I meant the one in California, where the job just opened up, not South Carolina.

With 9 minutes left in the first half, Army leads UConn 35-0.  UConn should seriously consider dropping football or moving down to FCS.

They should try to convince Delaware, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine to move up and form a football-only conference, but make a rule limiting scholarships to like 75 or something and reduced budgets so they're all on the same page. It would give them all something tangible to play for, and maybe a bowl tie-in or two.

Here at Bama-UF the feeling among Florida fans is something like “grim determination.” I’ve only met one person who thinks UF has a chance and the general atmosphere is hoping it’s still a game at the half.

As a UGA fan, I'm undecided on who to root for here.  The ideal outcome would be for them to both lose. Wink

Oklahoma is probably the 2nd most overrated team in the country, only behind Notre Dame

And therefore Notre Dame as well, which would be about the 30th time in my life Notre Dame has been overrated in September.

#24 Miami (FL) gets crushed by Michigan State 38-17.

Pretty impressive upset for the Spartans, who entered the game as seven point underdogs.

After 700 days, I'm finally going to return to Dudley Field tonight!  A little rain (and a flash flood watch) won't keep me out tonight!
