He has so discredited himself that he does not sponsor any relevant legislation, he is the most vulnerable to a primary and general election. Now he makes it difficult for LGBTQ Republicans because they will be vetted harshly now; before the Trumpian wing was liberal about LGBTQ issues compared to the DeSantis-evangelical wing.

Probably still not going to resign. At this point I expect him to lose his primary. Yes, it's the GOP voters who decide on that, but unlike Trump he's not a cult leader.

Surreal to be saying this about a sitting member of Congress but one has to wonder if Santos can/should be considered a flight risk, given the gravity of these charges, his history of international criminal charges, and general evasion of accountability.

He's not going to resign cause there's nothing in it for him
 He's got no reputation to salvage, no friends in congress, no connections that might give him future employment. Being a congressman is the last job hell ever have before being relegated to obscurity and forced to eek out a living running cheap cons. Why would he resign ?

Bear in mind that for specials in NY, nominees are chosen by the local parties. If Suozzi does run, hard to see how they don't pick him.

I'll believe Santos is gone when I see it. He's never going to resign voluntarily and I am skeptical enough Republicans will be on board for expulsion.
